Just a question as I try to get into BBUSA. . .

Is there a live broadcast of the show on a channel in the USA? Like we get live streaming on E4 do they get it on, say, for instance 'CBS2'? (If there is such a channel).

Is the live web stream on the official website censored? If it isn't, FOTH (and the 'Sims style' music) is added for our benefit here in the UK- which woudn't be cricket at all, now, would it?

Live feeds in the US are only available via the internet.

The broadcast networks don't have much of a cable/satellite presence when it comes to general programming. There are some specialized channels with network branding (MSNBC - News, CNBC - Business, ABC Family). The closest thing America has to E4 would be FOX's F/X network, which used to just rerun FOX shows, but 10 years later is doing more and more original programming, trying to be like HBO. And thank God for that - The Shield is one of the greatest cop shows ever, alongside Homicide.

As HDTV is adopted here, I imagine we'll catch up to you lot in the next ten years or so, as far as digital signals being used to add channels instead of picture quality. Supposedly, we should be all-digital in 3 years, but I don't think anybody expects that to happen, least of all the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) which ordered it. But until then - no CBS2.

E4 gets the same feed as the internet, so the FOTH and the godawful piano and violin are unavoidable. Generally speaking, they'll do that not to censor language, but if a hamster is singing (CBS doesn't want to pay royalties) or if there's something particularly interesting that they want to reveal on the broadcast show.

Thankyou for clearing that up with me! I'm sure you guys will catch us up sooner or later! It's kinda nice to be ahead for a change- one of the benefits of being a small country!

I do find it strange that we UK viewers actually get more TVcoverage of BBUSA than you viewers in America though.
