Hi there! This is my first post, but belatedly joining the Jodie appreciation.

I wasn't a Jodie fan to start with, but that changed when she did Send in the Clowns and then I Have Nothing. Last night with a less than great song to sing and a not well known one at that, she totally delivered a moving and fabulous performance. Best of the night.

She's shown over the weeks that she can show different facets of Nancy and she's the only one left who IMO has grown over the weeks and actually listens to criticism and learns from it.

She should be Nancy and has a real warmth and connection with the audience.

And after tonights result show, where it was clear that the producers of the show want a young Nancy (I can't work out if it's Jessie or Sam they are pimping for) I'm more keyed up than ever for Jodie to win this.

It will be interesting to see how TPTB do try and sabotage Jodie's chances. I'm guessing some horrid song choices for her, unfair editing and references to her size, plus some dodgy costumes! But it didn't work last night and I'm hoping it doesn't work on Saturday. Jodie will rise above it and blow the rest out of the water.

I will be voting for the first time this series. And it's gonna be for the only one who can play Nancy - the fab Jodie!

I think it's safe to say it's been an exciting, emotional weekend and I hate to think what our girl Jodie is feeling today!

The words emotional rollercoaster springs to mind - to know you have the support of the GBP but to be told by the producer that you're not right for the part - that's gotta hurt!

Anyway, I think most Jodie fans agree that her performance on Saturday was stunning and worthy of a winner - I also thought her acting on the task (what we saw of it) was really good - much better than Jessie's and Sam's and at least on a par with Rachel ().

What on earth was BH on about?! It's obvious that he doesn't rate her either!

So let's get positive people! The Jodie fan baiters are out in force on the other threads - I've made up my mind to ignore them - it won't be easy but I'm not going to be dragged down to their level!

Mornin'! I was out last night so I've just caught up on iPlayer - though I knew the result anyway...

I thought Jodie was really good in the acting task - BH's criticism seemed to be "Jodie interpreted it in a way I wouldn't have and the other girls didn't". Yes, thanks for that Barry, very useful!

As an aside - I was very impressed with Rachel this week all round - she'd secured her place as my second favourite - which surprises me as I couldn't stand her when she did Beautiful.

It was reassuring to hear that when both BH and CM decided they didn't want Jodie to be Nancy that the audience gave a resounding "boo!" - I don't think Jessie got that response? I'm starting to get very excited about the final... but I'll try and calm down!

I think, now, Jodie should win. Samantha has no discernible ability to interpret a song, and Jessie's awkward and inconsistent.

COME ON JODIE! Prove your nay-sayers wrong, and do us proud!

I agree, the acting task was weird. Rachel looked quite good () but I thought Jodie was ace, really putting loads of emotion into it! What's wrong with that? and it was real emotion, not pretendy!

This is not a particular criticism of Sam, but did anyone else get a creepy shiver when BH said she wasn't much good until she knelt on the floor in front of him?Euw!

May I join the Jodie-loving brigade? She has ALWAYS been my second favourite and now the disastrous loss of my first favourite has occurred, she steps into prime position in my eyes.

I'm sure some of her tears were relief at being out of the grasp of ALW.

She's made it to the final despite every hurdle (and there were many of them in all sorts of shapes and sizes) she had to clear and she did it all and more - now she must be the winner!

(Rachel's elimination was a travesty that I think even surpasses the Francesca/Ashley débacle - and as I still pine for Fran in this competition, that's saying something from me!! Had Jodie had left, I'd have set up camp firmly in the Rachel to win group. )

My fave moment of the results show was when Jodie got through (obviously!) because I loved her 'MUUUUUMMMMMM!!!!!!' No-one can say that wasn't a totally genuine reaction. Well, they can and they will, but imo they're wrong!

Rachel looked so disappointed when GN revealed she was in the bottom two - she knew she was a goner!

I'm glad she's backing Jodie - a woman of taste!

Still feeling upset for Jodie after what CM said - so unprofessional and it'll come back to bite him on the bum - good!!!

I've already spotted a few nasty posts about Jodie - what does everyone see in her etc. etc. blah blah!

Also the bashing of her fans continues. Everyone, it seems, is entitled to an opinion - everyone except Jodie fans!

Jodie must be buoyed up by all the support though. The studio audience and indeed the GBP have been unfailing.

Let's hope this gives her the confidence she needs to pull this off!

I don't like to be mean about the others, and maybe it was just nerves, but Sam did look utterly smug during ALWs decision. She knew she was staying! Jodie has never taken anything for granted - even though she has never been in the bottom two - she just appears so grateful for getting through each stage!

I don't think she really knows just how good she is!
