I don't have a problem with it. Mind you if later she is cast over the alternative Nancy, I doubt if the alternative Nancy would be pleased.

I think it said somewhere that they couldn't hire her as the alternate because of contracts with the BBC and the casting method, or did I imagine that?

That's right and so she can only be an understudy who would play Nancy if neither Jodie nor the alternative Nancy (the one doing 2 shows a week) are unavailable.

just to let everyone know i wrote to jodie after the show finished via her myspace page and had a really lovley personal reply from her

I think it would cause a problem with people spending money on voting if CM does what he wants after asking the public to choose and pay for it via their phone bills.

Not sure how many times the understudy would go on, dont think Lee when he was understudy was on much.....cant remember him saying so anyhow.

Hello Peeps! It's me! Sorry I've been lame at coming in here recently - end of term, busy, busy, blah, blah!

Have I missed anything essential? Has anyone booked tickets to see our Jodie yet?

I miss seeing her on tv every Saturday. And now Dr Who's finished too - I'm fed up!!

Hope all the obsessive, chavvy Jodie lovers are mighty fine!

I miss all you guys!

Hi there Mama!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

I'm still around - watching the Canadian Maria show now (see the other thread), so still getting my fix! The show is a bit different over there, but still good fun to watch!

No Dr Who next year except for specials!

Can't wait for SCD to start - watched the first episode of Diet on the Dancefloor with Matt, Nicole and Karen on Living TV last night, but I thought it was rubbish - and I was really looking forward to it too.

oh dear, your such an instant gotta be perfect sort aint ya..

Give them a chance, they dont have the might of the BBC to start with, if its picked up more sponsers will join in. Give them a chance all program start off badly. But if they are given the chance then they will get better.

Lovely seeing Matthew again, not so keen on Karen, think she is abit hard. Nicola was stunning as usual.

BBC HAS GOT IT WRONG NOT BRINGING HER BACK.

we should swamp the BBC to get her back.......

No I'm not LOL! This is Living TV not some poxy channel - and they've already got a major sponsor - it was just TV done on the cheap big time!

And Camerom Mackintosh is finally convinced that Jodie IS the greatest Nancy ever.

Well done Jodie! Keep it up

I saw it yesterday and thought Jodie was fantastic. As were the rest of the cast. She was amazing when singing 'as long as he needs me'. I do think the dodger stole the show, we had Robert Madge. I had seen him before in Mary Poppins and he has gotton even better since then. I would definitely recomend seeing it, although it is the same production as the previous one at the palladium, I've noticed people on other forums complaining because of this.

Did anyone else see Jodie on the BBC's New Year Live show? I watched it on iPlayer and Jodie sand 9 to 5 and was great!

The only thing is I think she was wearing a real fur at the start of the show...
