Hi - wandered on to here as wanted to know if anyone heard what Sarah Kennedy said about Jodie this morning - kettle boils too noisily so only heard the end when she was talking about Fagin and Bill Sykes.

Just read the above review Buddy - oh dear, but I'm guessing the link to a TV series is always going to give 'people who regularly go to the theatre' a few preconceived ideas.

Doh! I forgot to watch GM!

I realise people like those on the blog still exist, but it is hard to believe that they'd actually post something so blatantly snobby!

Know what you mean - I kind of agree with them a bit about the rustling chomping chatting audience - had a couple of experiences like that last year even though I am a 'person who does not regularly go to the theatre' - but it was so obvious that they weren't going to like the show. Can just imagine them talking about 'farquar pensworthy giving us his Bottom at the globe - marvellous darling'.

Can't believe no-one has commented on Jodie's appearance on Breakfast (BBC) with Burn this Morning.

She looked great, really happy and is clearly having a great time.
Burn looked a bit wiped out TBH, but he does have that sort of pallor.

Thought the interviews on last night's news were good too: got a lot of coverage.

Cameron Mackintosh was saying how great Jodie was, so glad to see he's changed his tune

I thought it was fab of Burn to compliment Jodie some much - it was unprompted too so truly sincere!

As he said "A star is born!!

I read that too - Jodie's contract is for a year, so I'm not sure when that will start as the previews started in December and the actual show in Jan - who knows???

If there's any comments about a guy calling himself whip in there just ignore it.

Nah not really, went to college with her (and yes I did actually use whip as my name then) but I'm sure we didn't interact enough to make it into her biog.
Mind you have to say she was just as gorgeous then even before she lost the weight.

A friend of mine was taking part in the Australian Benefit at The Palace on Sunday and we ended up sharing a dressing room with Jodie! I followed her on Biggest Loser and then on I'd Do Anything so it was great to actually meet her. And what a truly lovely, friendly and grounded woman she is. And stunning in the flesh! We had such a laugh and it was a fantastic night for a very worthy cause

It may not happen but the early info on Westendlive 2009 shows Jodie performing this year. Presume Leicester Square again and it says free.
