South Africa V Wales (International Friendly RU from Pretoria)

BBC Radio Cymru - Huw Llewellyn Davis and Emyr Lewis (Robert Jones heard at Half Time)
BBC Radio Wales - Gareth Thomas (Host) Tony Clement and John Deveraux in Studio. Commentary from Gareth Charles and Pieter Muller
BBC Radio 5 Live - Nick Mullins and Robert Jones

Anyone fancy explaining why England had 2 Rugby Commentators, yet We had 1?

Anyone able to confirm (the Sportscene page had different people down to who was actually there after) who did the Argentina match for Radio Scotland?

I'm listening to 606 with Danny Baker for the first time tonight, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I never heard him when he used to do it before!

Iain Carter doing US Open Golf updates at the moment, and the golf goes live from 11, with Iain, Jay Townsend and Andrew Cotter. It was quite a good listen in the small hours of this morning.

Also, a brilliant finish to the Czech Republic-Turkey game, which Mike Ingham fully did justice to! Nice one!

France v Italy

BBC Radio Five Live Mike Ingham, Alan Green and Chris Waddle (commentary)

Holland v Romania

BBC Sports Extra Conor MacNamara (1st half), Darren Fletcher (2nd half) and Pat Nevin (analyst) (commentary)

After about 75 minutes, the commentaries switched stations. I wonder if this is the first time that Alan Green has commentated on Sports Extra.

I see from other threads that (a) Ipswich Town commentary rights switch from BBC Suffolk to SGR and (b) Swindon Town rights revert after one season from Brunel to BBC Wiltshire. I am astounded by Ipswich Town's decision.

The full team according to Radio Times was Jonathan Agnew, Simon Mann and Mark Pougatch with summaries from Chris Cairns, Vic Marks and Dominic Cork. Doesn't mention Stewart.....reckon he'll have replaced Dominic Cork though.

Listened to the Rugby tonight on BBC Radio Merseyside (AM/DAB/Online) Ray French was in Perpignan for Catalans Dragons v Warrington with some bloke from the Daily Mail called Alan.

Also for Merseyside....In Ray's absence Ian Chisnall was with Alan Rooney for Leeds v St Helens on Friday and Ian and Johnny Lawless did Widnes v Salford on Thursday.

I've always enjoyed watching him from Ireland giving the Welsh sport, was always good-humoured. Hope he pulls through.

Yep, AS was definatly there, I was listening to a bit of it, just to hear whether they'd have a go at the 'Brizzle' Accent!

Who do you all think will get the Euro 08 semis on 5 Live?

I would guess Green and Ingham for Spain v Russia and possibly Murray and Brotherton for Germany v Turkey. Ian Brown may find himself number 5 on radio now that brotherton seems to be have slightly sidelined by tv.

Green / Ingham may do both if the others are called back for Wimbledon duty

Euro 2008 Final - Vienna, Austria:-
Germany vs. Spain
BBC Radio 5 Live - 5 Live Sport with Mark Saggers live from Vienna
Commentators - Alan Green and Mike Ingham
Summarisers - Chris Waddle and Graham Taylor

Hardly a surprise, but I thought that I would post it anyway. It beats John Motson on the tele, although he has been surprisingly good throughout this tournament...!
