Mike Ingham last commentated on 8th December and, I suspect, will be on duty for the FA Cup Third Round if he follows his normal pattern at this time of year.

When him & Greeny are on together its normally a good commentary

Bear in mind that BBC Five Live will have only one potential commentator and one summariser at the top FA Cup Third Round games on Saturday to allow for the possibility of switching commentaries so you are unlikely to hear Alan Green and Mike Ingham in tandem until a suitable Premier League or Champions League match happens.

On Saturday, BBC Five Live will start at 3pm with Macclesfield (Alan Green's current home town I believe) versus Everton.

Going on previous years, I seem to recall Mike Ingham usually has a bit of a break around this time of year, and disappears from the airwaves for a few weeks. Expect him back either for the FA Cup, or the weekend after (which is Man Utd v Chelsea, so he could well be paired up with Green for that one).

I know this is going back a bit, but the unknown reporter was Ore Oduba, who was indeed from CBBC.

There's a video about his experience on the Sportsound website -- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scot...io/6354443.stm (scroll down to "About Sportsound"). We also get to put a face to Liam McLeod, who's standing in the background!

It was called off at about 1pm. It is re-scheduled for Tuesday 13th January. We've lost cup games at Birmingham, Cheltenham, Histon and Leyton Orient.

No idea, maybe they realised it just wasn't worth it!

According to Google Maps, it's 40 miles between Histon and Kettering, a journey which takes 50 minutes - so Mark Pougatch may not make it there for half-time in the first commentary....

Fingers crossed, eh?

I understand that it was down to "contractual reasons" as Radio London couldnt broadcast it either
