I think you should look at radio and tv as different entities. You seem to be suggesting that there should be no simultaneous coverage of any sporting event (e.g. World Cup)

In truth, not everyone can get in front of a TV - frustrating if you want 100% football this Saturday, but I do think the Six Nations has more merit than a standard Premier League Saturday.

I think if England-Italy had been shunted onto Sports Extra, there would have been uproar.

My tuppence worth.

He was doing Wrexham commentaries for BBC Radio Wales as recently as the start of this season. They seem to have slimmed down the commentary rota a bit in recent months- they never seem to use John Hardy or Colin Addison anymore either.

There aren't clashes with other sporting events duringWorld Cup matches, I do feel that maybe taking the cricket off Sports Extra from 3-5 for the football would be fine IMO

I always thought he was based in Wales.

I think he's based in Lincolnshire. I think he ghosted Keith Alexander's autobiography for one thing.

Oh, and he wrote this too...

Had the cricket still been playing that match had been due to go on "Radio 4 LW Digital" according to radio times.

There's two versions of Radio 4 on Sky: FM is on 0104 and LW is on 0143.

I believe there's two versions on DAB as well.

I know theres a "daily service" thing Radio 4 does but it was the way they put "LW Digital". I know theres the two versions on Sky but why would anyone want to listen on the telly when they could watch?

Assuming you were talking about the cricket, not everyone with satellite has a Sky Sports subscription.
