Alan Lewis is IRN's man in Beijing

Not really, he's been a regular Final Score reporter for a season or two now. When it comes to choosing reporters for Final Score I think they're happy with absolutely anyone who fancies going to a match and taking a microphone with them - Garrido is a BBC sports reporter so he's as obvious a choice as anyone.

You'll note also that at some of the lesser matches, they have the same reporter for both Five Live and Final Score - Gareth Williams, whoever he is, reported for both from Cardiff this weekend.

Ah, OK. I hardly watch Final Score (or Soccer Saturday through SSN/SS1), so when I first saw the name I wondered whether he's been borrowed from Radio.

If my memory serves me correctly, Gareth Williams previously reported on Talk Sport.

You are correct. I blame the after effects of 3 Curly Wurly's. There was a brief Interview on the Show (BBC WS) with someone from BBC India about a Medal they had recently won. Could only catch the Firstname of Norris.

I don't recall why, but it was meant to be Vasos Alexander reporting there Today.

Interesting to see John Murray doing the three-day eventing - unless I am very much mistaken, this is the first time a leading football commentator has done anything to do with horses since the days of Raymond Glendenning.

Danny Mills. Interestingly when Leeds went 5-1 up they abandoned this and went over to Derby vs Lincoln, which meant Dave Woods commentating on virtually the entire second half, and extra time, on his own, which is not something you often get. Normally they have co-commentators at a number of games in case of such eventualities.

Oops sorry. I've no idea where David Mills came from. Ex-Ipswich, wasn't he.

Chris Williams is the swimming commentator. It's not a name I recognise.

Is it Kirsten Fuller at the tennis? I am at work at present so can't check but, again, it's not a name I recognise. (Related to Russell Fuller?)

I continued to listen, and it was Chris Mitchell doing the Swimming.

My bad. It was Kirsten Webster. Damn My Spider style writing!

Whilst I'm in this thread, RF would talk to Guido and Thomas and say they were from 'ARD Radio'. Now I know how German Radio works (big fan of 'N-Joy Radio', 'SWR3' & 'Eins Live' via Analogue Satellite during the mid-90s) but that can't be right?
