Big Brother: The Winner's Story

This Sunday 21:00 Channel 4
subtitles
60 mins

A chance to see how this year's winning housemate, Scotsman Cameron Stout, coped with being hurled back into real life after nine weeks inside the Big Brother compound. The media frenzy that awaited him as he left the house with Davina McCall is a world away from the peace and quiet of the Orkney islands -- has he embraced fame, or is the attention proving too much?

This programme will be broadcast later

This Sunday 22:30 S4C

"Flippin' eck. och! I will be on that funny box thing that lights up in the corner of the room agian, what's it called, och, a telly, that's it. Runs on electrickery it does so they say. Och. It's mad isn't it?....And that big metal bird in the sky I was in..."

Those little printed rectangles of paper with the Queen on are called banknotes Cameron but I bet you've counted a few of them before, so do you think it's time to drop the amazed 1930's schoolchild finding the playgrounds' biggest marble act ?
Flippin' 'eck! What next? Long trousers??

LMAO.

I've finally found someone who is more annoyed than I am by Cam's pretence at being a wide-eyed innocent

I'll be watching the Will Gareth and Darius Documentry on ITV2 instead and it'll be more interesting.

I wouldn't bother.
You could probably write the script yourself.

DD " I write my own songs"

GG "I like being famous and having lots of girls lusting after me"

WY "I won Pop Idol last year and a Brit award this year but let's not mention that in case anyone perceives me as arrogant"

GRRRR!!!

Hmmm - at least they'll be subtitles for those who can't understand a word he says.

I can't watch it though, my TV would cost too much to repair afterwards.

One of the bb diaries last week showed Cameron as he was 'interviwed for C4'. I suspect tonights programme will be the deathly dull(give the man an oscar)interview. With little snippets of...(already seen by E4 viewers)...Cam having a meal with a few ex h'ms.....Cameron at Gmtv....Cameron on route to Chicago.

I think I might give it a miss.

He already has. In Friday's "BB diaries," the one where he and Gos fly to Chicago, he was extremely matter-of-fact, no wide-eyed "Och! Woweeeee!" or other such cr*p. He was talking like an adult, acting like an adult -- in fact, acting very much like an adult who is used to those big metal birds that fly in the sky.

Och, nooooooooo! What a terrible blow for his fans!

Och, fiddle!

Where did you get the scared of new technology idea from? He actually said he had not been to the cash machine yet as he wasn't sure if he could remember his number and was worried the machine would keep his card.

Why can't Cam admit he craves fame and now he has it he loves it. Its bloody obvious to me and I'm not even a psychologist. I think a TV evangelist would suit him nicely. As Daniel Kitson would say "I have had enough, the world is full of c£nts and w&nkers".

it was when he was on about getting the 70 grand and he said "Im too scared to go to the cash machine in case I've forgot my number". For a someone who earns what he does and does the job that he does, to be worried about forgetting his number is pretty pathetic plus so what if he does forget his number - all you do is get intouch with your bank and they'll issue you with a new one!! Cameron would know this, so IMO he's still playing on this big eyed, everything is new and technology is strange, card,

To be fair to the tubby "Dangerous brother", when he said this I think it was him doing humour. Strange, but even Jesus liked jokes.

Yea agree, and what's annoying me is when he keeps going on about seeing the BBers on TV and saying "I know them! and there on TV wow!!" His own brother was a TV presenter so what is so strange about seeing people he knows on TV??

Yeah, what's his name, him that only slept and ate and never spoke in the BB house and is free loading it to the USA, he actually spoke there too. Shame it was nothing of importance, just like his time in the house really.

He still comes across as a BS artist even post-BB4. It must be that constant smirk and wide-eyed act. That, plus the previously mentioned nonsense about fake excitement re: technology, travelling abroad and new experiences.

He is the most travelled of all the HMs, was the highest paid with the most job responsibility and has arguably seen more, done more and achieved more than any of them prior to BB4 entry. So this child-like innocence that he constantly displays begins to wear extremely thin, irrespective of how "nice" you perceive him to be.

More than once, ppl have asked how Endemol / CH4 benefits from having somebody like Cameron as the winner. While Ray was the stereotypical BB contestant, Cameron represents a new type of contestant. By elevating him in the manner they have, it opens up the show's future direction in terms of a contestant's viability -- both in terms of being chosen for the show and, now, being able to win. This levelling of the field is partly well-intentioned as a result but the contrived and manipulative editing along with the obfuscation of his true background discredits any integrity the producers may have had.

If a contestant had won on their own merits then I would graciously accept they were worthy of the win. However, the previous points coupled with seemingly lucky breaks (BB swap) and outside interference, viz., Endemol bias and Julyan's media campaigns, devalue the win.

I just think he is a ****, with no chat, in a hat, sitting on a mat, with no cat.

Perfect summation, Father.

Then again, if Cameron wants to carry on playing up the persona that endeared him to the idiots who supported him (read the quite nauseating "Devoted To Cameron" and " Pray For Cameron" fan websites), then let him.

LMAO

Gos - cameron is like a brotherly figure, who you can talk too.

Try telling Lisa that you stupid idiot, i'm sure she'll have a different view to you..

Oh surprise, surprise cameron reveals that BB has helped him overcome his shyness and awkwardness in meeting new people, and there will be no more of that reserved silly stuff when meeting people in future. Ah well suppose we won't be seeing anymore of the niave, shy, innocent, virgin islander anymore.
