We've got Toshibas in the shop, they aren't a patch on the Sony's (or the Sharp's).

The ZF series is a good TV all around, and, I think, the best TV for aesthetics, with one of the slimmest frames on the market. It's fully HD with a contrast ratio of 10000:1.

They are available cheaper from other places - I know Comet and Currys both have it for £999.

I still fail to see the appeal of buying a 40 inch LCD when a good quality 42 inch plasma costs 2/3 the price.

£1000 buys a Samsung plasma, decent stand and home cinema kit.

This TV is now £699 at both Currys and Dixons.

Edit - no it's not, the £699 one is an inferior earlier model with a very slightly different model number, d'oh
