Got to admit he came over as a real ar*e in the first episode - I actually wanted him to go instead of Nicholas - but he was lovely after that.

From much maligned to national treasure in a few short weeks (a bit like the X-factor's Rhydian really!). We will miss you Raef.

I hope to see much more of Raef and his fabulous pink jumper in the future. I wonder if they could get him for Strictly Come Dancing?

I can't bear the thought that we might not see him again.

By the way if anyone is near a radio, he will be on Victoria Derbyshire's show on 5 live after 10am.

Firing Raef was probably the biggest tv show travesty since Rhydian came second in X Factor!

On the plus side, though, perhaps this will lead to bigger and better things for him, and I certainly hope so.

Raef, for me, epitomized the saying "Gentleman and a Scholar", and as Sian Lloyd implied on the "You're Fired" show, we could do with more people like Raef - good luck to him.

we certainly could.....I think that's part of why he has been so popular, he has the kind of good manners and high principles that are so often lacking on the world we live in now...

I think I was one of a minority who loved him after the first week, and he's by far my favurite candidate from any series (even better than Tre and the Badger!). It's a real shame he's gone, and I'm really annoyed at how he was treated.

I fear Lucinda will go for the same reason Raef did - too good for Sir Alan - next week, and if she does, I'm done watching (this series). Well, probably not, but I'll still be angry.

I'm gutted that Raef was fired - he was a great candidate and also a real gentleman.

Has there even been a candidate who came up with more memorable quotes than Raef?

"I get on with prince or pauper"

"It's not like i labeled shark as hamster"

"This is grass roots negotiation; this is as dirty as it gets."

"Two fifty? TWO fifty? two FITFY? TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DIRHAM?"

"these people are size 16-32 for a reason... they love cake"

"Your like a rat...jumping off a sinking ship"

and most commendably of all...

"A decision has been made. Sir Alan has made it. We don't need to fire questions at her."”

The man is a legend. funny quotes, yeah.

I thought Raef came across very well--he seemed to get on with everyone, and could laugh at himself.

I was shocked at the unnecessarily nasty way in which he was fired.

But, is it better to hang on in the show by sliming and toadying and disgracing yourself as Michael did, or leave, with head held high and dignity intact, as Raef did?

I don't think we've seen the last of Raef yet - just 'youtube'd' him and found a hilarious interview with "Holy Moly" talking about all manner of things

enjoy!

Yes Raef was good. But let's face it; reality tv stars work best in reality tv.

He'll have his 15 minutes of fame, and that will be that.

Occasionally a talented reality contestant does become more than a fifteen minute wonder. Ben Fogel, for example. Raef was a joy... Firing him not the only mistake SAS has made this series. I fear we will end up with the less talented bunch in the final.

I think Raef would be brilliant as a TV newsreader on the BBC.
Smart, well spoken, polite, likeable and good looking to boot.

Come on Beeb sign him up.
