Um, I found the whole interview a little bit 'snuggely blanket' for my taste. Raef failed this task, and, even though I think slimy worm Michael should have gone, the advert was rubbish!!!

*walks away commenting that both ads were rubbish but at least we knew what one of them was advertising*

I don't think he should have said it. Sorry folks but, Adrian is going to look a little two-faced when he has to interview Michael.

Why? Michael will have seen the programme tonight and will know exactly what Adrian thinks of him.

I genuinely doubt that. Adrian usually says what he thinks and will have a field day! Can't wait.

If he calls him an "odious little tw*t" to his face then I'll accept what you're saying. Otherwise it was all just done for the crowd.

I think Chiles is brilliant! I cracked up when he called Micheal a ****...my new favourite presenter, i like it when presenter do say what they think, usually the bbc dont let them have an opinion in case they look bias. I love it

Chiles was on top form.

I think he was as angry at Raef's premature dismissal as the rest of us!

He might not say, "Hello, Michael. I think you are an odious little ****". He's conducting an interview and does not want someone to stand up and walk out. However I'm sure he'll make it clear that Michael was not his favourite candidate.

Adrian is not shy about making his opinion known. He does not attempt to be a 'neutral' interviewer (which is refreshing in itself) and I was amused to hear him call Michael a tw*t - let's be honest, haven't we all done the same our selves?

I thought that was really classless calling him that to be honest. He didn't have to use that word... 'odious little creep' would have been fine..

whilst i agree that it was what we were all thinking, i do think that adrian chiles should be a little more professional - name calling isn't really something he should be doing on the show, as he's going to have to interview the person. if he wants to write it in an article, or a column, or say it in interviews, then that's fine, but he shouldn't be out and out rude like that, although he shouldn't be neutral, he can have his opinion.

Big deal. Neither advert was actually intended to go out on TV, and since when are prospective business apprentices expected to be able to direct TV commercials, it's not something they'd ever have to do.

Last night was one of the best after shows. Adrian Chiles was at his best and Raef was well able to laugh at himself. The p!ss taling of the "romance" and his style were taking in good humour and made the show very entertaining.

Raefs advert was actually not bad considering time and money only the two major mistakes of the weather woman and a shot of the box at the end, would it have been that hard to just take a picture of it when they were in the editing suite and just stick it on the end. The other advert was rubbish

That must be the first time I've heard a BBC presenter say tw*t.

Hitting the nail right on the head there, Adrian!

Swearing on TV is simply a gimmick to try to show he's "one of the boys". There's no need for it from someone who has
a vocab sufficient to hold down a presenter's job.

Chiles has always been a chav and it shows when he gets carried away and starts the bad language.

Chiles is one of the best presenters on TV. He has the Everyman quality which makes him feel like one of us rather than some out of touch celeb.

I'm a great fan of his wife too. My drive home with Radio 5 isn't the same without her.
