There's been horrid charatcers such as Katie and Syed but never have I seen such a useless and arrogant **** such as Michael
Does anyone agree or think there's been worse characters?”

Alex is worse! I HATE him. I would like to punch him very hard

Didn't someone post a while back that there is no interview round?

I've really gone of this series, they seem to have chosen certain people for their tv "quality" and not business acumen

Its funny to see how the majority of most dislikeable candidates, bar Katie from last year, seem to be from this year's series
Such a shame the programme is more about getting ratings then having decent business people

Is Michael hated for what he does, what he says or is it mainly because he is still there when other people's favourites (one in particular) have gone?

I personally think Helene is far worse - she is cold, totally lacking in empathy, lies, doesn't seem to have done anything right other than be able to blame others when things go wrong, it terrible at man management and she doesn't even have the saving grace of being able to laugh at her as you can with Michael.

I don't hate any candidates, but I do dislike Michael for all of the reasons you mention. He has been useless. He has been unpleasent. He has stayed over people that he shouldn't have.

I use hated in the reality show sense which is the of course you don't really hate them, how can you hate someone you don't know and of course you are aware enough to know they are edited to fit a certain role for the programme but you don't like that role sort of sense. Obviously.

You say that, but some people do take things to a whole different level on DS.....I sometimes find it surprising how much hatred people do seem to express for people they don't actually know...

I'm equally suprised at how much intense love some people seem to express for people they don't actually know. (And in real life I'm sure would run a million miles from).

True enough (at least about the 1st half, hard to judge about the 2nd half unless you know the person in question). Did you read that article about how reality tv was voted the 2nd worst invention of all time behind the atomic bomb?

Hmm, I can think of better things to do to him. He is rather easy on the eye!!

Yes, he is snakey, but Michael is far far worse. The worst ever imo. Creep.

Can't really judge if he's the worst ever because I've never seen Apprentice before this series, and after last nights fiasco, I won't be watching it again, I've lost interest now that Raef's gone.
Michael is the most odious little creep though, and Helene is a nasty, lying, bullying haridan who seems to have slipped under the radar for the past few weeks.

As others have said, Michael is provoking such a knee-jerk reaction in most of us principally because he is such a talentless waste of space. He's also something of an arrogant toerag and, for me, there is nothing less attractive than misplaced arrogance.

For me, the worst thing about him is the way he sneeringly looks down at people and seems to see others only in terms of how he can use them.

The editing is playing on that side of him so much (of course there may only be that side to him) that I can't help but believe that it is all leading up to the biggest drop from a great height that anybody has ever experienced on this programme.

Usually it is easy to see where the editing is leading you in each programme, so when a team seem to be cruising to an easy win suddenly it all turns at the last minute and there is a collective gasp when they have victory snatched from them and their previously smiling and superior faces freeze momentarily and then fall into collective disbelief along with the entire watching public. I knew that the crap advert had won on Wednesday and at that moment I also guessed that Raef would be the one to be fired.

Michael has been built up and portrayed week by week into this rat with nine lives, his contributions have been pathetic and incompetent at best, he is shown as thinking himself increasingly superior to everyone else both in the programme and in the world in general. He has become the hated Teflon contestant that everybody seems to want gone apart from Sir Alan Sugar and week after week when we are led to believe his time has finally come - he is saved once again.

This must be for a reason and it isn't because he is going to be the winner. The programme just doesn't work that way.

People are mad because people they like have gone. In a few weeks the show will be over. In a few months we'll fail to remember half of these people's names. Have some perspective!

No, we will never forget Raef, he is our leader.

lol....I feel quite sorry for Michael, mostly because I think he is useless. However, I think, like Lucinda he makes a very poor team member, but (apostrophe aside) he did a reasonable job when he was PM. SAS should let him be PM again, just to see him make a real hash of it. Perhaps SAS really doesn't want to let him go.

I didn't like Raef very much, mainly because he's completely unreadable, like Helene. He also went completely off the tracks because he was so intent on creating a masterpiece he forgot about the brief. However, as always I found myself warming more to him on the You're fired show.

Not being funny, but he didn't do a good job as PM, it was really Raef that won the task for him, being as he came up with concept, and when holes were found in Michael's prep work during the first presentation, Raef was able to quickly adjust his pitch to make the other two a success.

I don't understand the premise that he is being kept in for entertainment value that some are speculating. He's no Syed or Tre, just a rather sneaky candidate who manages to shmooze his way out of trouble in the boardroom. Obviously Sir Alan is not as drop dead shrewd as he thinks he is. But is Michael dislikeable? Not particularly, but not particularly likeable either.
