That behaviour is the bare MINIMUM one would expect from a team member. One expects a team member to make a positive rather than a negative contribution, so for you, as her supporter, to cite this behaviour as positive makes the case for her detractors ! The box was garish but it was aimed at the female market as Lee said in his pitch and there are many garish products which succeed and it certainly stood out. It did not have a snotty nose on it. How many adverts do have interesting things in them? Lucinda's alternative ideas were appalling, so it was a good job she didn't contribute. The box was not surrounded by dead flowers, did you notice any dead flowers in the clip of the ad they showed ? No of course you didn't. It was a typical case of Lucinda obsessing with irrelevancies in a desperate attempt to criticise the ad and the boy's performance and enhance her status. Your points in support of Lucinda are as flawed as her contribution to the team. |

I quite like Lucinda, but not sure how she would actually be to work with though. I doubt she will win, Siralan doesn't do posh.
She put over some good points last night, the boys didn't think about it in the right way and her female perspective would have been useful on the box design. The advert was terrible but I could imagine a more polished version of that appearing on day time TV. As for the dead flowers how did that happen? Would have been a good end shot otherwise. |

When the series started I thought she honestly was a nice person stuck in the middle of a load of backstabbers, but now I'm not so sure. I think she might just be better at pretending to be nice. I'd like to believe she is genuine, but there have been a few times now I just feel she's a lot more calculating than I first thought.

Those flowers were dying and shouldn't have been included in the ad. Lucinda was perfectly right to point this out.Quote:

I think Lucinda was merely trying to get the ball rolling with her "homosexual theme."
She just wanted a concept that would capture the audience's attention. As for the dead flowers, I thought this showed her attention to detail. She's somewhat of a perfectionist and I see this as an admirable quality, not a flaw. The general consensus was that the Atishu campaign won by default because the opposing team failed to make their product stand out. |

One cannot have a subtle, emotionally engaging, narrative ad in 30 seconds which also has to feature pack shots and key elements of the product. One excludes the other. Raef had to reject the pack shot because it was incompatible with the style of the ad. So as Raef had abandoned the priorities of the ad, naturally he had greater freedom to make it look more cinematic and less naff. Ads are naff for goodness sake unless they are epic pieces with no time constraints, and in this situation there were time and budget constraints. An ad about tissues is going to be bollocks. If the ad is about something else, or about nothing very much, of course it can look better, for a start it isn't cluttered with tissue boxes. And the strapline "start of a great relationship" was complete bollocks too, because it seemed to be talking about a relationship between the boy and girl and not about the buyer and tissues. |

Lee shouting is his usual thing. Lee shouts. Pretty much everything he says is IN CAPITALS. But I for one can fully understand his frustration at her going on and on in the taxi about something THAT COULD NOT BE CHANGED. I don't recall a "glut of funny faces" but I've certainly seen the feelings of every candidate show on their faces from time to time. I'm just not sure what respect they should have shown her there when I've still to work out the point in her continuing to complain about it. I didn't see any dead flowers. I saw blooms that were past their best. I'm sure somebody could put up a screen shot and we can all see. I assume they didn't have the time or resources to photoshop improvements on nature, which in a flower bed tends to consist of flowers at many stages of their freshness. |

The time to criticise and complain about the couple of dead flowers was when the pack shot was being taken, not afterwards. Presumably she wasn't around at the time of the shot being made, but in the edit suite the pack shot had to go in so Lucinda's point was irrelevant and of course the issue itself is small.
I think overall she was just incredibly dissatisfied and frustrated with the lads and I don't blame her. This would have been the ideal task for her to lead because there is no doubt she has a creative streak. She remains my favourite. |

That said, it could have looked okay if they'd deigned to feature the product! The Atisho ad looked like a spoof of a 70s commercial. It aspired to Cillit Bang's sophistication. |
