Personally I think SAS is fabulous and makes great TV with his one liners. But Ive noticed many posters saying he should be replaced. My question is...by who?

Anyone who can see that Rafe is a god and Michael is a absolute arsehole

Stellios

Richard Branson

Gordon Ramsay

Carol Vorderman

How about Peter Jones. He's wouldn't have to sit on a stack of yellow pages either.

Purely for his business sense though (not because he's kind of yummy)

Peter Jones would be perfect as he has the empire to place the successful candidate. He would also bring some class to the programme and it would move away from the current big brother type of candidate. He could have perhaps one of the other Dragons to assist like Deb Meaden or Duncan Bannatyne.

I think Stellios could make good TV.

What exactly were you envisaging a candidate doing as Carol Vorderman's apprentice?

I think Ronnie Barker in his tomb could do a better job then SAS last night.

Carol Voderman! She'd be awful! How would she deliver the "You're fired" with such contempt. She's too lovely for that! And Stelios is too cuddly. Ramsay would work perhaps.

I was actually getting I little sarcastic towards the end of that list. Stellios I think might work. Ramsay however might resort to throwing kitchen knives.

The programme would be much worse without Sugar.
I can't think of anyone who could replace him, as it needs someone sarcastic, loud, occasionally amusing and often right in his judgements.
SAS doesn't always get it right with who he fires (yes Michael should have gone, but it is surely somewhat true that Raef has been quite a lot of style with little substance), but he is almost always very watchable. With Peter Jones the programme would be boring IMO.

That woman Michelle Mone (I think is her name)- you know, the knicker lady who's always on YF

There's one teensy weensy problem...
without Suralan we wouldn't have
NICK AND MARGARET.
For their sakes, he must stay.

I'm not sure if Gordon Ramsey is all that good a businessman - great chef and motivator but he has others employed to cook the books.
Out of the Dragons I would prefer the dour Duncan Bannatyne than the rather oily Peter Jones. I can imagine him saying 'Your fired' with the right tone of voice as well.

There must be some great business people out there who are potential stars but who haven't yet graced our screens. I have heard some wonderful personalities speaking at various conferences but they are only well known in their field.

No one - I like SAS even if his latest firing completely and utterely baffled and infuriated me, he generally is very very good and much better than Trump!

Ramon Abramovich. He could sack all the candidates every week

Reason's not to:

Stellios- wasn't self made, used his dad's money, thinks he owns the word 'Easy'!

Richard Branson- He tried this in the USA some years ago, the series was pants!

Gordon Ramsay- Who the f*** would want to be an Apprentice to this guy, being swore at and preached to all day by a sandwich man, captain of industry he is not!

Carol Vorderman- Don't fancy standing in her shadow!!!

Peter Jones- Like Branson, he too tried something similar last year with 'Tycoon'. What a flop that was!

Sir Philip Green is surely the best option, if they could convince him to do it.

Instead of candidates getting fired they'd just mysteriously disappear one week, never to be seen again.
