Okay - we could have a panel - PJ, Duncan and the Bear <SAS> Nick, Margaret

Hmmm that wouldn`t work - PJ & Duncan reminds me of Ant and Dec

shes a right cupid stunt - plus her company has had two VAT complaints, partner been done for sexual antics with its employees so not a good choice.

No-one's mentioned Theo Paphitis.

I imagine he could deliver a good "you're fired" and his eyebrow could have a seat of its own.

As others have observed though, losing "Sralan" would mean we also lost Margaret and Nick and they're legends.

After last night, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone in TV-land spots Raef's potential and gives him his own vehicle: either an entrepreneurial show or a talk show?

I am laughing at the thought of 16 of the "best business minds in the country" competing for 12 weeks to help pick the numbers on countdown

I don't think I could watch if it was Gordon Ramsey, he's too much of an obnoxious bully for my delicate tastes.

I'd like Sir Alan to stay - but can we have the real Sir Alan back please?

The inexplicable randomness of his choice of firings this year makes me wonder if his body has been taken over by aliens in some kind of devilish plot to ruin his business empire.

I can't think of anyone who could replace him, as it needs someone sarcastic, loud, occasionally amusing and often right in his judgements.
SAS doesn't always get it right with who he fires (yes Michael should have gone, but it is surely somewhat true that Raef has been quite a lot of style with little substance), but he is almost always very watchable. With Peter Jones the programme would be boring IMO.”

I agree. Michael should have gone by now but I think over the last few weeks there are people in the boardroom that he didn't see as the apprentice & took the opportunity to fire. He knows Michael will be back everytime he is on the losing team so will have an opportunity to fire. Raef as Nick said was style over substance & he decided his time was up. He wouldn't ever have got through any interviews.

Crap decision by a tired old man- same old story with Sugar- people like him at first until they realise he is just angry for no reason, it was obvious that Raef had done a good job of defending himself but Sugar just wanted an excuse to fire him, he cant look beyond a persons background. It is no longer a case of the show needing him but rather the reverse- hopefully in some interview he will actually be pushed on this, he gave no stand out reason for firing Raef and I would hope he apologised for the "hot air" comment as it was clearly misinformed. Raef to replace Alan!

Hmmm yes, Theo Paphitis is my favourite Dragon and also has a sense of humour. Peter Jones has zero personality.

I'd also like to see Raef grace our screens again. I'm sure something will happen for him after the show - he came across very well.

They should have an apprentice type show but for these tycoons. The winner gets to be the boss in the next apprentice.

Never having watched Dragon's Den, I thought you meant the bloke from the Polaris World adverts.

I agree it needs a shake-up for the next series - perhaps move it out of London and "Up Norf". Maybe if Alex Ferguson now decides to retire from Man Utd he might fancy the job.

They aren't employees of Siralan. In fact Nick has retired.

My suggestion is........Tony Blair...he'd love all the attention though its said he was very bad at getting up the courage to sack people so the boardroom scene would last all day until the candidate sacked themself through boredom.

Alistair Campbell would be better at doing the sackings. Tony could take the Margaret role though.

I totally agree with this post.

Bring back the real SAS, I don't like this new person who seems to be suffering fools gladly.
