One of the secrets of The Apprentice's success is that they don't piss around with the format. As long as they get the right contestants it works. They're unlikely to risk killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

He's been worth around £800m for the last 4 series.

Looks like he hasn't made any serious money since the 80's.

Mohammed al Fayed. He's an outspoken businessman who likes to point his finger at people.

Why should he be replaced? the series is built around him and his style. Replace him and you've got another series altogether. *cough*Tycoon*cough*

Why on earth should he be replaced? Because some people have got their arse in the air over Raef being fired? Honestly, it beggars belief and people need to get some perspective in their lives if this is the reason. By all means get passionate and angry about something that actually matters...but a reality TV show?

It doesn't matter if you agree or disasgree about the decision - it was his to make and his alone and if he felt Raef wasn't the right person then that's entirely up to him. He's the one offering the £100,000 salary not us.

Well said. I think Sir Alan continues to do a great job, ably assisted by Margaret and Nick alongside him. The Apprentice has been a tv series, which goes from strength to strength for me. I never tire of it, unlike for example Big Brother, which has became incredibly stale and boring.

Please leave the brilliant Peter Jones where he is, on that other great show - Dragons Den. It wouldn't be the same without him. And don't unsettle Bannatyne, Paphitis, Meaden and Kahn either. All superb.

Most of those calling for Sir Alan to go, are naturally annoyed and upset by the sacking of Raef. Most of us are sorry to see Raef go. He was a quality individual. But to call for Sir Alan to be axed ? No, can't agree with that.
