PS3, LG 47lf66 and sound

I have got a PS3 connected by HDMI cable to the LG 47LF66 tv and all works fine there.

I also have a Sky+ box and DVD connected by Scart and an X-Box360 connected.

Then, from AV2 a cable runs to the stereo system which works for everything but the PS3.

All three devices had optical out connections, so that does not work.

Any ideas how I can get the sound to the stereo from the PS, espeically for Blue Ray films??

The PS3 will only output sound to one connection at any given time. Why this is, is beyond me but that's the way Sony have chosen to implement the software on the PS3.

If you wanted sound to the stereo, directly from the PS3, then you will need to set the PS3 to output the sound through the analogue RCA connections but in doing so, you will lose sound output through the HDMI connection (so the sound will no longer come through your TV).

Other than that, you'll need to get the sound to the stereo from your TV, by connecting the phono leads from the TV to the stereo.

Hope this helps.
