Hi all,
I have a phillips 37" hdtv connected to witch I have the following:
1. Sky HD box connected to TV via HDMI
2. DVD player connected to 2nd HDMI
3. XBox 360 sharing the 2nd HDMI port via a splitter.
I am looking for a home cinema setup so that I can enjoy 5.1 surround sound on all of the above. Having looked in a few shops all home cinema systems seem to come with a dvd player with the speakers connected to the dvd player. As I have a dvd player that is only 5 months old I don't really see the point of buying everything - all I'm after are the speakers.
Question is two-fold:
1. Can i buy separately the speakers, and if so, from where?
2. Can I set it all up in such a way that I can enjoy surround sound whilst watching Sky, watching DVDs or playing on the XBox?
Many thanks for any input/advice.
