Part II: Evictee David Let's It All Hang Out in Latest Candid Interview
Q. What is your take on Allison and how do you think she’ll do now that she’s the Head of Household?
A. Allison, I don’t know if it’s evident on TV, but she has a photographic memory. She knows how many parachutes were caught by each houseguest and the total caught in that competition. She knows down to the tenth of a second what everyone got on their times, how many windows there are in the house, how many mirrors, how many plants, how many stripes there are on the walls of this room.. And she remembers all of it.
Because of that I don’t blame Nate for taking her off because she’s great for answering questions and winning competitions. But other than that, I think that Ally tries to play with her wits, but brings too much emotion into it. All she could do was swear how much she wanted to knock Dana down and how she wanted to fight her and all this other stuff. I was like come on give me a break.
She’s still young. She’s 22. I’m 21. She hasn’t really experienced too much of anything. I think I heard her saying to Michelle, “Michelle, you know, you’re so young and you haven’t experienced anything.” Like Ally has so much over her in her sorority life or whatever it is she comes from. Now as far as her as the head of household, I think the timing is good for the game, and it’ll even out both sides of the house again.
Q. What’s the best move for her in terms of the two nominations?
A. They need to get Justin out. Justin is a fierce competitor and with him gone, Dana gets weak and with Dana gone, Justin gets weak. It’s because of her that he got saved. She agreed to put him up and Robert if she got HOH, and she totally went against that. Dana said she wanted to make it a fair game and split up the house. Well she did that, but it was such a stupid move on her part because she could have gone longer in the game if she stuck with the original plan and put up Justin and Robert. But I feel that her judge of character isn’t too keen.
If anyone uses the veto, throw up Robert; throw up Jun. Jun’s an overlooked player as far as strategy goes. I really feel it’s because of her that I’m gone. She’s the only person I couldn’t convince to keep me in the house. I had everyone pretty well-convinced. And it was Jun who brought them to reality, Like, hey! Dave’s a strong guy. We need to get him out of here no matter what he promises.
Q. There was talk on the internet about hanky panky between you and Ally the night before you left.
A. There was a little bit. I know people are probably trying to blow this out of proportion, but I was just realizing that I could possibly stay longer in the house. I’ve got Dana. She told me that she was in love with me for another day. Erika was definitely on my side. Ally was kind of suspicious of me, and I think that she might have gone after me in the near future, so I kind of hooked up with her. It was just a couple smooches. Everyone’s going to probably say, “What was going on under the covers?”
Q. Was nothing going on under the covers?
A. No. Yeah. Hands were moving and stuff, but it wasn’t – there was no feeling. There wasn’t anything having to do with anything. It was just strategy. I was like, “When can I get out of here?” It was hard. It was the only acting I’ve done on the show.
Q. With Amanda there was no strategy like that?
A. No strategy, no acting that was all for real. She’s a great girl.
Q. Have you called or been in contact with her.
A. No, I haven’t had contact with her.
Q. You had many names for Dana and one of the ones that I can say is Man Troll. What exactly is a Man Troll?
A. I’m not really sure what a Man Troll is. Scotty was the one who originated that, and it was funny. If Dana’s hair is up and pulled back from her face, the combination of her ears sticking out and her face makes her look like a little troll. So I think that’s where he might have gotten that. It just kind of stuck. Man Troll. Man Troll. It seemed like a good innocent name but effective in putting her down.
Q. How would you describe Jun? She’s an interesting player.
A. Yeah. She’s an emotional girl. I don’t know if it’s that time of the month for her right now. She started bitching a lot, and she started judging everyone for what they were doing. I fell asleep on the couch, and Ally put a blanket over me. I thought that was nice of someone, whoever did it. Then I heard Jun bitching with Dana in the kitchen. She was saying, “That ****ing bitch! Who does she think she is to say, ‘Oh, we’ve got to keep him warm.’?” And she started going off on this tangent. I thought what’s wrong with this woman and why is she so bitter? And she’s been running off the mouth like that a lot.
She’s very flirty. She’s a very sexual girl. Unfortunately, I’m not attracted to her at all, nor do I think are any of the other guys in the house. She throws herself on everyone and we’re always trying to push her away toward someone else. I actually pushed her off the couch when she tried to snuggle up next to me. She fell down to the ground. She was pretty mad at me, and I just sat there laughing.
She definitely gets on everyone’s nerves. She controls the kitchen. If anyone wants to cook, she freaks out. She’s a control freak, but it’s not as evident as Dana is.
Q. Control freaks make the house interesting in a way.
A. They do. They definitely do. That why they throw these type of people in here. Whoever sits there and picks the cast, they pick it well. They know how to stir things up in there. Control freaks and schizos are definitely something that will give them ratings.
Q. Who do you think will be the final two players left in the game?
A. I would hope it would be Jack and Erika because they’re smart. Their smarts could carry them if everyone else thought logically. But because so many people play on emotion, they are blinded by that in terms of strategy. They are too concerned about getting even and that’s going to affect the game. I feel because of that it will come down to whoever’s lucky. It’s going to wind up being some idiot like Jee winning it. Being in the right place at the right time. Or Ally’s going to win. Or Nate, the Oklahoman. It‘s so hard to tell. There’s so much luck involved and that’s why I’m kind of glad that this is over for me because I found out that no matter how many good ideas I had or good plans I presented to people, it didn’t matter because everyone is playing by emotion. But I think that voting me off was one decision I saw that they played strategically, so I actually give them props for that.
Q. People are impressed with you both inside and outside of the house. What are your plans now, and do you have any particular career aspirations?
A. I don’t have any particular career aspirations. If something comes along in the entertainment business, that would be cool. It comes easy to me, entertaining, I can do it.
Q. Stand up comedy?
A. No stand up comedy.
Q. What about politics?
A. No politics. I’m just going to do whatever makes me happy. I want to base jump. I want to shark cage dive. I want to drag race cars. I want to build engines. There’s a lot of things I want to do in life
