I think Samantha would be a great pop star, but her acting is rather bland....I can't see her in a role...but I could see her like Leona Lewis.

i agree she did well, and hopefully if she doesnt win this, she will get a role in another show. think of it this way, a lot of the marias and josephs are doing well in other shows, so hopefully sam does well too, i would love her to win nancy but given some of the unjustified negativity on here, i am unfortunatly not sure that will happen

I absolutely think Samantha has leading lady potential (without watching that clip). She has a phenominal voice and has most of the other necessary attributes - look, figure, dance, movement. I find it hard to believe shes so good and yet the youngest in the competition.

I don't think shes ready or right for Nancy as i think her acting has let her down throughout the show but i for one will be watching her career with interest.

however, look how much she has improved from the start of this show in only a few weeks, and imagine how far she could come in the 6 months before curtain up!

IMO she's got a great 'pop' voice, but is incapable of conveying any emotion. She has cold 'sharks' eyes when she is singing. Nancy is supposed to be a tart with a heart, who has lived a bit. On that basis, Samantha is not the best person to play Nancy, despite being the obvious favourite of ALW.

I totally agree and thats why shes now ahead of Jessie for me as a favourite. Shes got time to go further in 6 months definitley but i'm voting for what i see now and not what might be achievable given time and at this moment in time shes not right or ready imho.

Not yet she is'nt but will be with experience and training. Mature MT performers never stop learning and Sam will join their ranks.

I agree she should get more expereince and training before the WE. However, she has had the benefit of Arts Ed (one of the best performing arts school in the country) unlike eg Niamh or Jessie, so I would have expected her to be better than them.

I think Sam has that certain something. Star quality and stage presence. She is only young but has come along way in this competetion. She reminds me of Ben in Joseph last year. I think she would make a great Nancy bearing in mind it is not a leading part with only one solo and six months rehearsal. But if not nancy then i am sure she will still go onto great things
