I thought this was supposed to be a talent show. Someone who is 50 stone overweight with no talent should no be in it. It is quite simply a joke. To have her in and some other talented acts out is a disgrace

Simon hated her and rightly so. Amanda and Piers need their pea brains checking.

I wouldn't be quite so brutal about her weight, but you are right about her not having talent.
So she can dance a bit, its no better than what anyone can see on a friday night out. I don't understand how they could put her in the top forty for the whole country. I also can't believe they put that gentleman through who can't play his organ (star wars I think it was supposed to be).

I loved it when she phoned her son to tell him and he just said an unimpressed "oh." Good on her for having a laugh but I would hardly call it talent.

There are plenty of acts which by rights shouldn't be in there. You see these people coming on, and I don't really think they have actually thought to themselves, does Prince Charles want to see my act? They must just think that because they can do something that is good, that they will make it to the Royal Albert Hall. Half of them are just poorly thought ideas, and not worthy of being shown at the Royal Variety Performance. I quite often just sit there watching whilst smiling and shaking my head at the thought that they think that they are good enough to win this contest, when in reality, they aren't even good enough to perform infront on 200 random 'ordinary' people. But it's like everything. People always look for the slightest thing they can do, and they then think that this is amazing, when in reality, it's not really as amazing as they thought. They need someone who's willing to be honest with them, and not just their friends who no doubt want to see them win the contest, thus, they tell them what they WANT to hear. Anyway, contests like this will always get quite a few talentless people. Not meant as an insult, but just being truthful.

OMG get her off! she should be a laugh though so can understand keeping her. But keeping some of the others over the ballet kid or piano kid? WTF!

There's no need to be so fatist, although I have to admit it was fairly gross and what is with the white bra and black top? But I agree that she has no talent worthy of getting through in the first place, let alone going through to the final 40 over other people who did have talent.

She is awful! She couldn't even match her bra to her top. She looked like she had just wndered in randomly, epecially compared to a lot of the other acts.

The sad thing is that by putting people through like this they are actually using them as a something to laugh at, and when they realise it was all a joke on them they will be really hurt.

The worst thing is she was so tired after a minute that she had to sit down. How is that good for the Royal Variety Performance?

Still... it will be a laugh when she performs.

Completely agree. The fact that this woman is through and the little girl who played the piano and the teenage boy who did ballet (I presume that's who you're talking about!) aren't is quite simply, ridiculous. That woman isn't talented, anyone could dance like that if they put their minds to it. Some of the acts that got through were just a joke, and there were far better acts that didn't make it. Stupid, really.

At first I thought the people on this thread were talking about the 'untamed melody' video on the ITV website, but when watching it, I noticed that she wasn't dancing, just singing, so realised that it wasn't her that you's lot were talking about. I also can't understand why they never put the lass who could play the piano like a machine through.......seeing as though Amanda couldn't believe it what she was hearing when she was playing it. This is exactly what I meant when I made a post in another thread saying that I hoped Simon or the others weren't putting people through just because they felt sorry for them, as this would be taking away the chances of people who were genuinely talented. It's okay for the judges, they have acheived what they wanted in lifie, but they should be taking these people who are very talented very seriously indeed, in terms of if they have talent or not, and not just what might look good as a one off type thing. I think some of these people could really have a long term career out of this, but the judges just aren't taking some of them seriously. I also think that little Chinese girl with the Piano would have certainly had a brilliant career by the time she had grown up. I really thought she was going to get through for certain, but, this seems more like a farce to me everytime I watch it. I think the judges seem to be treating this as a novelty one off performance thing for the Royal Variety Performance, rather than starting someone's career off through serious judging.

Edit: Oh wait a minute, I think I know who people are talking about now. It's the one that at the end of her performance, she shouts something about 'girl power'. At least I think it is anyway.

I agree, that fat burd should be no wherenear a camera when she's dancing like that.

Not only that her lils are in danger of falling out mid spin and knocking some poor sod clean out.

Has this woman no shame?
Has this woman any talent?
Has she any friends that advised her to reconsider?
She's is going to get booed off that stage....still that'll be a laugh!

I agree she was a laugh the first time and shouldn't have got through...but now she has, I feel sorry for her because she will be humiliated and get a load of boo's like Michael tonight, I hope not though!

I agree, i think she will get taunted. She'll never win and should never have been put through. Our onlu hope is she busts out of her top and her tits flop all over the place giving us something to laugh about.

Other than that...not really much to rave about

The only reason she went through is because she's overweight and dancing. That's her gimmick. Pretty stupid reason because whether she's fat or not, the woman can't dance anyway.

I think it's ridiculous some of the crap they've put through over other very talented people.

Just as they do with X-Factor etc. make someone into a laughing stock, so what if she is overweight, good for her, but don't let the media make money at your expense.
