At first I thought the people on this thread were talking about the 'untamed melody' video on the ITV website, but when watching it, I noticed that she wasn't dancing, just singing, so realised that it wasn't her that you's lot were talking about. I also can't understand why they never put the lass who could play the piano like a machine through.......seeing as though Amanda couldn't believe it what she was hearing when she was playing it. This is exactly what I meant when I made a post in another thread saying that I hoped Simon or the others weren't putting people through just because they felt sorry for them, as this would be taking away the chances of people who were genuinely talented. It's okay for the judges, they have acheived what they wanted in lifie, but they should be taking these people who are very talented very seriously indeed, in terms of if they have talent or not, and not just what might look good as a one off type thing. I think some of these people could really have a long term career out of this, but the judges just aren't taking some of them seriously. I also think that little Chinese girl with the Piano would have certainly had a brilliant career by the time she had grown up. I really thought she was going to get through for certain, but, this seems more like a farce to me everytime I watch it. I think the judges seem to be treating this as a novelty one off performance thing for the Royal Variety Performance, rather than starting someone's career off through serious judging.
Edit: Oh wait a minute, I think I know who people are talking about now. It's the one that at the end of her performance, she shouts something about 'girl power'. At least I think it is anyway.
