I'm probably going to go on the saturday, I went last year too - I was chuffed with all the freebies they gave out

Depending on my partner and friend I get to London 4 - 5 times a year. Go to regional and local theatres though and have had many good evenings out at these. The best was an outside production of the Scottish play perfromed on a sloping stage in the rain GREAT!

I'm going to watch Avenue Q again on Thursday. Wooo!

I'm hoping to go and catch Rent on Broadway and maybe Young Frankenstien/Wicked when I go New York in the summer.

not only am i seeing avenue q in london when i go for the weekend in september but am also seeing 39 steps

i have also go the david essex musical all the fun of the fair in october (mum wanted to see it)

i have also just bought tickets to see flashdance on tour in february,

and madame de sade (with judi dench) in april in london as well

not to mention i am also going to a couple of concerts (lost prophets and nickleback soon as well)

ps and on the subject of musicals - has any one else seen the mama mia movie?? i loved it!!!

I went to see Avenue Q in the first week of July, it was BRILLIANT. I also saw LOTR again (which is closing tonight )!

And in September LaLa is hitting Broadway Hairspray and something else (depends what I can persuade ma famile to see!) I'm TOO excited!

ive seen avenue q before, i am taking a mate with me who has never seen it before, cant wait to see what she thinks of it, i love it. was a while since i saw it though, it was early 2007 i think.

you will love hair spray i saw it on broadway last year (february) and it was fantastic!!! want to see it again, (saw a few shows whilst i was in new york, as well as hair spray i saw drowsy chaperone, chicago, les mis and phantom (though i had already seen the latter 3 a couple times already)

caberets been booked as well, cant wait to see sam in it!

I would love to go to the theatre a lot more than i do. To be honest the money is a bit of an issue at the minute. I'm desperate to see Hairspray, but i have to wait til it reaches the north east.

i went to see grease the other day, i was VERY lucky to get the understudy danny rather than that nobody off that crap talent show (the grease talent show that is, the x factor nobody was on!)

Danny B got really goot write ups and, from friends who have gone is a very good Danny!

there is a good offer for tickets for hairspray and many other shows, i have used this site a lot and its been a godscend, not to mention www.theboxoffice.com www.whatsonstage.com and the TKTS booth in leicester square, you can get great deals from all these

from what i have heard danny b sounds ok, nothing special though - but then it is only grease!! anyway im biased as i know the understudy.

Hi everyone, just a quick Q. Have any of you ever been to the Dominion Theatre before? I've got tickets in the stalls, row E for We Will Rock You but a bit worried that I might be craning my neck to see it/might not be able to see the whole stage?
At first the prospect of 5 rows from the front sounded great but is it really?

I've never been in the Dominion Theatre, but 5 rows back is usually pretty amazing seats.

Try this website: http://www.theatremonkey.com/BuyorAvoidIndex.htm it's pretty useful at advising on seats! This is what is says about the Dominion: "In the two central blocks, rows D to H are the best seats in the stalls", so looks like you'll be okay!

I agree! I saw Grease at the Dominion years ago, but from what I can remember you should be in a great spot.

ETA - I always check out TheatreMonkey for seating plans, it's pretty spot on.

dont worry you should be fine, i had front row seats for the show a few years back, i am only 5ft2 and it was a bit high, but i was not uncomfortable, so 5 rows back you should have no problem, cant remember what the rake of the seats is like though
