I think part of the problem is how could they improve on the original audition as the "surprise" factor is now gone.

While they were very good tonight I was getting bored with the MJ stuff - i would have preferred to see more of the Bhangra type dancing as it is a lot more fun. When the lad with the beard (whose name I have forgotten as soon as I went to type it ) does his stuff he is absolutely brilliant. It always puts a smile on my face as he obviously enjoys it!

don't get me wrong, it jumped higher over her leg and back but thats it.....how much futhur can it go especially at the Royal Variety? while Signature have the ability to add or remove anything they want

Why is there so much pressure on Signature, in particular, to suprise us each time?

Surely the singers in the competition are just as predicatable. They are merely singing a different song each time! Same goes for the belly dancer, the magicians etc Everyone has a fixed number of tricks up their sleave.

Personally I won't tire of Signature. I could watch them all day

I really think Signiture have an unfair pressure to be different each time. Why should they when the likes of Andrew and Farel can get away with singing opera, gin going the same tricks etc (yes I know some where different)

As I said before, Signiture had the same theme, agreed. I truely can understand some people feeling a bit disapointed but the routine was different in the same way many acts were tonight. I think the real reason people feel a bit let down by this audition is because the element of suprise has gone. We, the viewers now know what to expect. The other acts did not have this so when we watch them we're not expecting something totally differenet.

I for one love Signiture. I think they are truely one unique act and totally deserve to win this thing. I hope they do. I find them great to watch and the chemistry between the guys is very beleivable.

I don't get why people think they are so unique. The unique bit was the suprise, thats what got them through the first time. There are loads and loads of good dancers that can dance same as them. Tonight the backing dancers were great, and without them it would have been nowhere near as good.
I think they are good, but for a dance act I would prefer a different group, maybe a bigger group so its more exciting.

Thats the whole point, that made their act and they cannot get that back, now they are just two guys dancing which apart from a MJackson copycat, is nothing special or original IMO

Signature is the MJ impersonator on hisown. Madhu is part of the current dynamic duo. But the MJ impersonator actually is the main guy.

I liked Signature! I agree the "surprise" factor was gone and all that but I knew they would be in the final...then again there wasn't much competition apart from kate & gin.

My guess is for Signature's next routine will be a scene from Black&White or Bad or maybe Earth Song.

I agree with the thread header. Although I enjoyed Signature's act in the first round, I found tonights gig to be . . . boring really. To me it was just two men dancing a bit - with a whole troupe of backing dancers.

Without the element of surprise - which was a big part of their act in the auditions - they don't seem to have a lot to offer.

Nice guys - but not top rate talent material.

The bookies have got them ridiculously short at 9/4. I have shortened them to 11/2 as they are obviously popular, but now the surprise has gone i cant see them winning.

Totally agree. What`s original about a Michael Jackson dancer ? I just don`t rate them as being talented enough to make the final.

I don't think that they are the best act or were the best act in last night's show. It seems pretty much samish to me and no matter how good the Michael Jackson fan is it is the older guy who is more watchable.
I thought the belly dancer should have gone through last night.

I think they're great and a perfect act for the Royal Variety.

They can put on a huge production number with backing dancers.

was disappointed by the camera direction, got totally dizzy and felt that I missed much of the dancing and interplay, which indicates to me that would be much better viewed on a full stage, so ideal for Royal Variety IMHO

Signature are amazing.

I think they are amazing - but you are right, the camera missed much of the interaction between the two and the story their performance was telling.

The support dancers they used in their act were professionals? If so I think this goes against the spirit of the competition.

I think I would enjoy Signature much more if I had consumed a few beers beforehand.

Maybe the dancers are members of Signature - which I believe is the name of Suleman Mirza's dance group - I have seen several youtube videos where he is dancing with a group of people. I don't think it is a professional group but it is certainly as good as one and I'm sure they spend many hours perfecting their routines. It seems he is the choreographer because last night he said it is his dream to choreograph a routine for, and dance with Michael Jackson:

You're missing the point. Signature is not merely a MJ act. They have made it original by adding a Bollywood flavour to their routine

Signature were entertaining, sure, but the whole point of these talent shows is to find someone original, who can have a proper career as a top flight entertainer.

Regardless of the Bollywood stuff, it's 99% a Michael Jackson tribute act - MINUS the singing! Hardly worthy of going through to the final, is it?

Personally, I think there are three things BGT could do without:

1: Kids
2: Animal acts
3: Dance acts, especially the massive dance troups.
