Firstly, if you look back at their audition, it was 50% MJ and 50% Bangra. That's why their act stood out for me. Not because a guy came on mid-act with a broom

Secondly, if the public voted it worthy of a place in the final, then that's what counts.

Thirdly, if you removed the kids, animal acts and dancers you'd be left with X-Factor

There wasn't actually that much MJ in it last night, probably no more than about 1/3 of the performance. I thought the choreography was great and they were clearly the favourites of the audience who incidently were able to watch it properly including the interraction between the two dancers and their different dance styles which was mirrored in the moves of their respective dance team. The cameraman did not give the viewer this opportunity but only allowed glimses of the choreography.
It was very cleverly done and, as the previous poster pointed out, much more than a simple MJ impersonation.

It isn't about launching a career but about finding an act for the Royal Variety Show and a cash prize. I'm sure Simon is on the look-out for a singer he can sign but that isn't the philosophy of the show. The prize can go to anyone who the public votes for whether it be a dancer, singer or a dancing dog. It is the one show that is not a pure singing competition - for which I am very grateful.

My favourite act from the first time I saw them. It wasn't even so much the element of surprise that made me enjoy them it was the fact they were doing a crossover into bhangra. I really enjoyed them last night and actually preferred it to their audition performance merely because it showed that away from the surprise they can still hold together an entertaining segment which I think would be perfect for the royal variety.


Then it's not really going to be Britain's got talent as talent can be ANYTHING! I'd prefer a cut down on singers as we have a whole show dedicated to finding talented singers.

I can't really see them doing that well. They're nice guys; nice in front of camera but I wasn't really impressed with the MJ dancing, neither the Bhangra dancing. What did it for me was the stage and set up which isn't really the two guys is it...

The also copied thriller and well where is the originality?

George Sampson has loads of dance moves and loads of skills and he will always twist and turn to build himself up.

Faryl has a great voice for a young girl and is still developing. You'll always stop to listen to somebody like that.

Charlie Green is also young and is improving but also has stage presence and charisma.

Gin and Kate brought forward more tricks yesterday. Their act is still raw but one of the most entertaining so perfected it will be even more better.

Flava and Nemesis can go further and further because I've seen dance troupes who can really choreograph to extremes.

Scala have numerous tunes they can place under a good dance beat. They look great and are progressive.

All these acts have something to build upon but it's really difficult to see how much you can build on this. If these guys didn't have a surprise in the first act then what?

I did enjoy watching them but ultimately it is one guy doing Bhangra, one guy dancing like Michael Jackson and that's it.

I loved it and again agree with Sid on this one.

It was a Jackson theme but put a different slant on things. This is where the "originality" comes in. Sulaman is the great Jackson dancer and Madhu is the bhangra dancer. It's the unique combination that makes this act special.

I also totally disagree with the poster who mentioned that dance and animal acts shouldn't be allowed. If there was any, it should be the singers. We have the x-factor for that.

As it stands, this act is my favourate with Kate and Gin second. However I do think Signature are brilliant and stand head and shoulders above the rest. The chorography for these guys was brilliant and top marks on originality.

I guess it comes down to a matter of taste. You might be able to listen to Faryl Smith and watch Flava all day, but if I had a choice, I'd pick Signature everytime

It's not really a fusion is it. Even if it was a fusion, still not much. Without the privileged set up they got, only matched by Michael the Star Wars guy, they could have bombed.

I think it was heavily orchestrated in their favour.

What is their talent? Not much if you think about it because they got the privilege of one of ITV's biggest primetime budgets.

Gin and Kate had each other. If they had a dance troupe, a nice set design and a lot more air time, they'd win.

It wasn't a dance troupe, it was Signature of which the two main guys are members. I imagine Suleman does the choreography as well - the costumes were their own.

If you don't like them, that is fine - if everyone agrees with you they will go no further. However, it does seem that they were the audience's favourite act by far. But a lot of thought and imagination has gone into the routine and many, many hours of practice - far more than is required for the singers. They had to find a way of merging the two styles and telling a story. This was actually a new routine which it seems they didn't actually have at the time of the first round.

I don't think they do much merging.

One of them dances Bhangra, the other dances like Michael Jackson. They do the odd Bhangra dance and Michael Jackson dance together.

If you break it down, they got a lot of privilege for their routine and this out of expectation from the surprise in the auditions. Otherwise, very easily they could bomb and be criticised but this isn't talent like a lot of the other acts. It's a privileged set up for a couple of random bedroom dancers.

I think you are very biased against Signature - but maybe I read it wrongly from your posts.

I like them very much, they are fresh, entertaining, very good dancers and a very good thing to promote from BGT: muslim and Sikh doing a dance off and being friends? What a great message. Could work for all kinds of 'wars' between races and religions - as a message of ' let's dance , not make wars'.

I think the whole concept is very well put toghether - thus the originality : Suleman thought and coreographed the whole thing.
Yes, they use MJ music, but they use ALL kinds of music. Yes, Suleman dances on MJ style because he was a MJ impersonator. But their dance styles, when merged and synched, are a pleasure to watch - on whichever music.

For me, they are the act I would look forward to see in a Variety show.

I do enjoy their performances but I don't think they have very much to offer. There are a lot fo Michael Jackson tribute artists out there. Suleman has done well in this area on the back of the huge Michael Jackson following in India and links on Bollywood. The Bhangra market is huge too.

It is entertaining to watch but I don't see them. I see a big stage set up. He did the same Michael Jackson moves. Madhu raised his arms and shrugged his shoulders a lot.

I don't only like Faryl. I like Charlie Green, George Sampson, Nemesis. I think there are just more people here who talk about Faryl but do I think she is the most talented there? No. I think George is but Faryl will definitely win. I think...

But Suleman is an exceptionally talented dancer and choreographer - and you could say the same about singers - they just sing, some better than others, some brilliantly. It is a matter of taste.
I personally like the way they interact, the story they tell - how the MJ impersonator is always interrupted in his routine - yesterday how the two dance groups, who are probably part of the Signature dance group not provided by ITV, mirrored the two dancing styles.
I would rather watch them any day above all the acts I have seen this year - as would many others judging by their 10 million or more youtube hits.
But it is up to the public - the one with the most votes will win irrespective of your or my preferences. I suspect one of the young singers might do it although a different type of act would be refreshing.

I`m sure the Bhangra market is huge...............but maybe not with your average person watching the show. I don`t see what else they have to offer now the element of surprise has gone. They bored me after about the first 20 seconds. And if they are so good on their own why did they need backing dancers ?

In that case you can say that all Farel does is sing opera, so does Andrew Johnson, scarla only plays electric instruments...and so on....

I find it surprising that this act gets singled out for lacking range when other acts don’t have this pressure.

And yes, I do think they're original. The Jackson dancing which gets interrupted by some Bhangra routine. You dont see that everyday...just like you dont see Kate and Gin everyday. This is the reason why these two are my favourate acts. They're different and what the royal "variety" show needs. As talented as Farel may be (I'm not questioning it) we've seen it all before and I would have rather see her and all the other singers this year audition for the X-factor.

Signature have earned their place and they deserve their spot in the final with the possibility of winning. Their routine last night lacked the surprise element which grabbed the audience previously but that was a given. However, I do think the choreography was brilliant and the contrast in different dancing styles was great to watch. This act is unique in my opinion and I can defiantly see why they polled the most number of votes last night.

Neither Andrew nor Faryl sung opera though. Gounod did write operas but the Ave Maria Faryl sung is based on a harpsichord prelude by Bach (who also didn't), and I wouldn't even class Andrew Lloyd Webber as classical let alone his requiem (from where the PJ came from) as opera, it isn't. Paul Potts, however WAS an opera singer as Nessun Dorma is a song from an opera.

See what you mean about expecting something different from an act next time around, and it's actually true - nonetheless, it depends how superficially you view each act. A singer singing a different song - well, yes it's still singing, but they're there as a singer. Besides which a different song has different demands on the voice and needs different interpretation - I thought Dean was poor last night because he just didn't get into the song. The main thing about Signature is the surprise, but there is none now, because people don't expect the unexpected to surprise them. Second time out for an act like thatis always going to be more disappointing unless you can produce something outstanding. Regardless, they are still good.

They were not backing dancers but members of Signature, which is a dance troupe. It was about the two rival groups with their leaders. The real routine didn't really start until about 20 seconds in. I didn't find them boring, I thought it was spectacular.
But they bored you, and if they bored the majority they will not win the final. But judging by the audience reaction, they clearly enjoyed their performance the best by far last night. A pity that the cameraman kept a lot of the subtlety of their routine hidden from the TV viewers.
People like different styles of dancing or singing - that is what makes this competition interesting.

Judging by the reaction from the audience they were clearly the best last night. I think the camera man did a bit of a bent job but even with what we saw at home, I still think they did enough to deserve to go through to the finals.

I do enjoy it but I agree with most of what you say. I think they are nice guys and it's all good like that but as much as I enjoy it and would like to see it again, they do appear to have gone as far as they can go unless - well I think it will just get more and more gimicky with the surprises.

Maybe half of all this is all down to likeability but on that basis they have to watch their Ps and Qs.

Tell me about it!! At one point when the camera was flying through the air i thought the bloke must have been pissed!!. I'd have loved to have been in the audience and been able to see the whole performance with the warring sides, instead of the arty farty camera angles we are forced to endure!

Its probably the same eejit who ruined their first performance by repeatedly showing us the audience and the looks on the judges faces instead of concentrating on giving us at home the best view!!!!

Sorry rant over. I love Signature but i'd like to see more of the bhangra (sp?) dancing so we could see more of Madhu's beaming face , Now there is a guy who definately enjoys what he does

I can't wait to see which MJ track they dance to next and how they manage to encapsulate the Bollywood theme again. Smooth Criminal, Bad and Black or White would be crowd pleasers I think, but of course it needs to be whichever can best be combined with Bangra music.

In my opinion they should have the ultimate dance-off against each other - outdoing one another with their moves - really going for it - sort of "whatever you can do, I can do better."

I think that would be show stopping and something like that would secure thier win. The public would love it. If they did go for somthing like this, they'd have to really go for it. A mixture of great dancing, acting, comedy and campness.

There is a reason why the dance off scene in American Pie 3 film is my favourate.

I loved them the first time but wasn't that impressed last night...I was very surprised they won (although being last on will have helped).

I didn't think the dancing was as sharp and the fusion of the different musical styles wasn't anywhere near as good (far too much of the original Thriller).

I also didn't think the backing dancers should have been allowed to be honest. They were put through as a two man act and should perform as such.
