Don't slag all the celebrity panel off though. Richard Fleeshman was very reasoned and looked uncomfortable about the comments Andi Peters was making and to a lesser extent Claire Sweeney.”

Richard did look a little bemused and Claire looked a little squiffy to be honest. (I do like Claire) My thread should really have read... Andi Peters on a "celebrity panel"

I was shocked at some of the things he said, but he made me laugh too.
A poster didn't like the 'I couldn't eat a whole one' joke - thats been said by many people many times, its a joke and not worth getting upset about. (though a poor joke).
The whole panel were a bit odd, and their reaction to the rehearsal clips on tomorrows acts was less favourable than I would have expected.

I only came here to see if anyone was annoyed with Andi. He was out of order. Yeah going through may have meant a lot to Dean and Gin is "only a dog" but I think getting through, and hopefully doing well in the final means the World to Kate and will boost her confidence a hell of a lot. She comes across as being a bit lonely and low on confidence so getting through will mean just as much to Kate. They seemed to forget that it's not just Gin performing.

LOL, I didn't know, or notice, that he had been toning up, but did notice the camp irritating queen was ever present.

well, kate will have simon on side, he is a massive dog lover and has donated
£10,000 to a dog home in barbados that he is patron of.

I sort of agreed with him actually but I would rather see the dog act over and over again than some mediocre singer who wants a career kick start. The show is to win 100 grand and one performance only at the Royal Variety Performance in front of The Prince Of Wales. But I did think that Andi Peters was mean about the children dancers, The Cheeky Monkeys.

Spot on....he seemed determined to be "contraversal" with his comments which is a bit rich coming from a talentless void like him

I thought he was an absolute arse too. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that Kate is very shy and underconfident. This probably is doing her the world of good. It isn't just the dog that is talented - she must be a great dog trainer to get Gin to perform like that. So he is either incredibly stupid or a total tool in my opinion. Maybe picking on 16 year old girls makes him feel good.

That's true, my dog won't even sit on command!

Yes we shouldn't under-estimate the courage it took Kate to perform with Gin, as you say she doesn't appear to be a confident girl and it could all have gone horribly wrong if the dog had decided not to co-operate on the night!

I didn't actually see Andi Peters last night but I have disliked him since Dancing on Ice when he was very patronising to Andrei, a Russian pro-skater just because his English wasn't perfect.

Absolutely agree with this.

I couldn't believe the rubbish that was coming out of his mouth, I just hope he hasn't damaged Kate's confidence. Both her and Gin have an amazing talent. I train my dog in obedience and agility, but also do a few tricks as well and it's an extremely difficult thing to do. But what they also need to remember is that performing doggie freestyle like that in your own home or in a familiar environment is one thing, to bring this to a stage, with all the lights and all the noise from the microphones and audience is something else.

When Andi was talking (or should that be trying to knock even more confidence out of an already self-conscious and insecure Kate), I was trying to remind myself what his talent is......................hmmmmmmmmm I'm still thinking now.

Constructive criticism is one thing, but his comments were totally uncalled for. I noticed Richard and Clare were cringing at the rubbish coming from his mouth.

The fact that he ran childrens TV on BBC and when he left it went decidedly down hill? Just a thought.

Andi comes across as so bitter and jelous on every show he is on these days, its actually quite funny..........he is making himself look more and more of an idiot every time he appears. Dont forget, that while Ant & Dec are presenting this huge show, Andi Peters had to make do with presenting the "All Star Talent Show" on channel 5 with the Cheeky Girls and Jodie Marsh

Andi Peters has always had a problem with animal sidekicks.

He always resented that "Edd the duck" was far more popular than him .....and ensured his removal from the broom cupboard so he no longer had to play second fiddle to him.

I suspect that's why he dislikes Gin so much. Flashbacks of being in the shadow of a duck sidekick..

....and he doesn't have respect for Kate due to her being happy to allow her animal sidekick to be the star......something that Andi's ego couldn't allow.

I watched ITV2 and concluded the same as the OP. Andi Peters is indeed a prime tw*t.

What's really got me is that the acts he had nasty swipes at were CHILDREN.

Everyone else came through OK - but he picked the kids to have a pop at.

What kind of person actively puts children down, on live telly, for no reason other than a cheap laugh for himself ?

He should have a word with himself

And when Steven showed what acts will be coming on today, he asked andi what he thought of the acts and he replied ''im glad i came today''
ummm... who are ya? who are ya?
Oh Matron!

He was being quite nasty about everybody last night. I agree with the OP.
