Every act performing last will get through to the final

I think it's pretty predictable that every act performing last will go through to final. And every act performing first will not reach the final.

Also another prediction: Every semi-final will be decided by the final judges' vote. For e.g. it won't go 3-0 or 2-0 after 2 judges.

Show seems a bit contrived in this way.

By the way, I thought Signature and Gin were great tonight.

Also thought the treatment for Michael (Star Wars guy) was terrible. They set him up deliberatly to be booed by the audience and slaughtered by the judges. He shouldn't have even made it into the semis. Very unfair.

Agree with the whole post

I think the judges vote is so pointless - it's just a chance to save their favourite.

not just that but im willing to bet that whoever sings last in the final will probably win too,

Interesting - guess we'll have to see. Although if one of the young singers is first and the big woman dancing is last, this theory will probably be proven wrong.

Won't happen... AJ, Farya and CharlieG will be kept apart, and they'll all be last.

Well, it's only like seeding a sports tournament. They all deserve to make the last 10.

Andrew is on tomorrow and I think he's singing last, Faryl will almost certainly be on last too, it was clever to put her and Andrew on seperate days as well.

Its waht normally happens on this kind of show, people that phone in appear to have short memories or vote on the euphoria of te last act they saw. A shame really although that said, Gin and Kate did really well starting out second.........

Definitely, it happened last year with Paul Potts. Not saying he didn't deserve it but nobody else stood a chance.

The top 2 with the most votes should just go through, whats the point in putting the 3rd most popular semi finalist through to the final because they will obviously not do very well

Exactly, this would make much more sense. Tonight, I suspect Kate and Gin got more votes than Dean anyway, though of course I'm not 100% sure.

Putting the top two acts through is fairer and just a better way to do it.

Of course if Kate and Gin got the 3rd most votes then it is a great idea by the BGT producers

Well if anyone thinks it is being left to chance, then wake up and smell the coffee. The producers know who they want to win and will contrive the show to ensure that happens.

Yeah, they will always save the best till last. Just basic TV making to end with a bang. They always start with dance groups as well to inject some energy into the show while knowing that they probably won't make it to the final from such a difficult slot.

As for the judges vote, again, it's pretty basic stuff to split the vote. Depending on who goes through there might be a clear vote, but if it could go either way (like last night) then they will always split it.

Judges vote is a good idea. Last year they put through 3 non-singers and eliminated two singers (and the baton twirler). It keeps some variety in the show where the public might tend to just vote for singers.

But even with the judges vote, they can only pick from the second and third most voted for contestant.........so ultimately its up to the public who they vote for most to make sure they are in the top 3. Even if the producers want an act in the final, they wont have it if they finish 4th in the phone vote. It's much worse in shows like DOI or Strictly or Nancy, where it's left to the bottom 2 who the judges vote off. At least this way the public actually do have a chance to vote for their top 3.
