Guess Who's Back, Jon.
Article On The Official Forum.
Quote:- Guess Who's Back Day 75, 13:10 Jon has revealed he is going back to work on Monday and he isn't going to be a television presenter in his most candid interview to date. Talking exclusively to the webteam, the man who famously re-entered the Big Brother House by public vote admitted the allure of television was "tempting" but didn't feel he would make it as a presenter. "I've got a good career," Jon stated. "Presenting and television are very tempting, but being a guest is easy. Having watched the best presenters, I don't think I could make the grade." But before all Jon fans have a collective fit, the knowledgeable housemate assured us he would still be appearing on television screens around the country in the future. In his own words, "doing something fun". Ironically when we caught up with Jon, the bespectacled one was on his way for a lunch date! Talking about his imminent return to the office, Jon confessed: "I've quite deliberately taken a step back from the media - I've got hundreds and thousands of work emails [to deal with]. I really need to get cracking on with some big projects." Although the issue of where exactly Jon works seems to be 'shrouded in mystery', quoting from his Audition Tape: "I work for a Blue Chip company you've probably never heard of." Tongue in cheek? We'll leave you to make up your minds... Jon still had time to talk about his former housemates. Asked who he would remain friends with "for a number of years", Jon named Sissy, Federico, Scott, Gos and Nush - but he was quick to mention there wasn't anyone he disliked. "I had the perfect show," he enthused. "I came out after four weeks and got to know the evicted housemates [Anouska, Justine, Sissy and Federico]. And then I got a chance to know Scott and Ray a bit better." Finally we had to find out if, at any point, Jon wanted to win Big Brother when he was voted back into the house under the proviso he wasn't eligible for the £70,000 prize. "I was paranoid about it. I had this fear - what would stop [BB] changing the rules so I could win it," he said candidly. "If it was the case, it would have been more difficult to get on with my career. So I was relieved when I came out, when I learnt I couldn't win. "I was 80% sure Big Brother would change the rules. That's why I slept for six days." And with that, Jon was off for his lunch date. But not before Jon confessed to being a keen purveyor of this very website and enjoying keeping up to date with the many forum postings. Last edited by Ciixii : 05-08-2003 at 14:21. |

I suppose they are being secretive about where he works to prevent advertising I guess. Pretty sure he was talking about the utility company he works for in the house and the online billing system he'd helped to develop when he was chatting with Ray about I.T. in the garden.

Is rather strange as I thought it was quite well known who he worked for, if your in any doubt just "Ask Sid" (blast from the past!).
Pretty sure he is still working for them, having just taken an 12 week sabbatical. Think he is off to one of their fanchise business's in Europe for a bit tho. |

Oh well,
Its the thought that counts!!! Could still do the same, but welcome him to his new offices and combine it with a sneeky booze cruise. That would be a shock to the system, turns up at new offices and people there with banners shouting Bonjour Monsuier Tickle!! |

Think its going to be Belgium, not sure which offices though. But Sid's company do own a utility in Belgium so its a fair bet that is where he would go.
Well if he is the most boring man in Britain, he is certainly going to fit right at home in his new place of work!!! |

I can only remember Jon telling Cameron in the house that he would like to be transferred to the Belgium office, not that he was going to be. They were talking about the international aspects of their respective employers at the time. |

Not sure, its all speculation. You know how rumours start so that he may be going or he may not. If it was based on just that conversation then I am surprised he just mentionned Belgium as he could have chosen Texas or Canada and still stayed in the company.

Belgium has history, beautiful Bruges and chocolate shops to die for. It is also a good base for popping over to lots of lovely European countries, not to mention just a day trip from family and friends in the UK.
