Nay. He's so inconsistent. A Nancy goes from a "flawless" performance one week to becoming gradually more rubbish in his eyes.

Not what I'd call a good judge.

They can go from "flawless" to rubbish because they are not consistent in their performances. Most of these girls aren't good enough to pull off top notch performances every week. While I find most of the contestants very talented, the only inconsistency I see is the performances from the girls. In live theater, it doesn't matter if you are 'flawless' yesterday or tomorrow, it only matters you gave a good performance today. Sadly, the only two contestants I saw that could do that was Rachel and Sarah, and both were voted off.

Also, as the competition heats up, I think the judges have to start being tougher on the candidates. What was 'good' on week may be only mediocre by week 7 or 8 because the weaker performers have been weeded out and some of the other girls may catch up.

I agree with the poster that said JB can be OTT with his comments but also helpful when he sees a problem.

JB has done a lot of work with young performers in the States in the past - I think he has more experince with that sort of thing than the others. I know he used to do workshops in high schools.

I think they've been tougher on some people and pretty much blind when it comes to others.

I agree Rachel and Sarah (and possibly Fran) were the only people who would be able to perform consistently well.

Yes and he has mentored three Josephs from last year. Credit where credit is due.

His only flaw is having favourites but then so do the whole panel as do we.

I'm not sure 'mentoring' is the right word ... it certainly has supported his three favourites ... and I guess there is nothing wrong with continuing to offer support to those he thinks are worthy of it (in his opinion).

I happen to like two of his 'favourites' ... not so bothered about the other one.

Barry wasn't boring at the start. The PC brigade ruined Barry. I loved it when I was half afraid of what would come out of his mouth next.

Okay well Daniel is my favourite ... but I think Ben has a real something about him ... his stage presence is exceptional and I think with more work on his vocals he could have a long career.

Keith does nothing for me at all ... didn't back in ADWD and having seen him at the JB concert - I'm of the same opinion.

Yay in general because he's fun and an exceptionally talented performer, although when he'd judging on these shows I often wonder if he's watching the same performences as I am. I have issues with the panel as a whole though not just him. In general all three of them seem fairly useless when it comes to helping the girls/boys to grow and they all show very obvious favoritism - JB included.
