How does sequestering work?

We don't have such a thing in the UK BB. My vague interpretation is that from now on when people are evicted (i.e. Dana this week - yay!!), they aren't allowed to go home, see friends or anyone else, but are kept isolated until they vote for the winner.

This is incredibly harsh - what purpose does it serve? As the weeks go on, do the other evictees join them, or are they all kept separate from each other?

They go to Cancun, Mexico when they are voted off. They will get to watch the HL shows like us minus the DR entries

The reason for this is so the houseguests who are still in the game dont change their behaviour and start playing for the jury's votes on the outside.

The best bit is they aren't off to a beach resort at all. There is another house on the CBS lot not far from where the current house. Footage off them may be used in the current shows. They are in for a surprise when they get evicted. Nobody ever said where they were going, they just assumed because they were told they would need their passport (they tricked them).

Have fun Dana in the house for a week on your own.

Ooh fun and games!

It's strange that they're kept isolated from the outside world, when the public have no say in the final outcome of the show.

Surely putting all the ex-HG's together leads to collusion in the final vote (and wasn't an ex-HG put back in the house last year?)

Collusion - well they are sequestered like a jury, there is a specific rule that HG are not allowed to discuss/agree on a split of the prize. But of course if there was an agreement, either the prize money would be very thinly distributed between all or anyone not getting any cash would vote against that wainner anyway.

BBUSA = the prize is the key - none of this fame and fortune /talent show/media frenzy bollox of BBUK where much more money cane be made form the tabloids after the event.

Here Here!

The downside of that though is they die when the show is over. Although if they knew that kind of shit was out there for them on the outside i think they would behave very differently in the house.

This brought a smile to my face this morning though.

Is there a DVD/video of the 2nd series of BB-USA? I've seen stuff for BB3, but I really want to see this guy in action - he sounds like a legend!

Wasn't he the one who said 'I am the puppetmaster'?!!

Yes he was dizzie. Seriously the guy would have been 100/1 to win at the start of week 3.

It looks like there is only a DVD boxset for BB3 plus that looks real hard to get hold of (shipping to US and Canada).

I have most of BB2 somewhere in the house (loft?) on cdr. I may have a look for it in a couple of weeks.
