Astonishing.

I think Charlie Green has more talent than those two.

Strike we're doing the same thing as Cheeky Monkeys. They're not a scratch on George Sampson.

It's time travelling and it's illegal.

Cheeky Monkeys improved on their audition and had a good routine.

Charlie had a god awful, unknown, crap song.

I was very glad Strike got through, otherwise 4 out of the 6 acts so far would be kids!

I felt really sorry for Charlie, he was used by his dad, and his dad's mate for their own ends, getting Charlie to sing that song in the hopes it would get THEIR songwriting 'talents' showcased and noticed.

Poor little love didn't have a clue. If he had sung Mack the Knife or something like that he would have stood a much better chance.

I think that's one of the reasons it was done, the idea of variety should be variety! What with dogs, karate kicks and Indian dancing, the variety brief is certainly being fulfilled so far.

(But poor old Charlie Green was well and truly shafted by the grasping Cedric Shitehouse - forcing that kid to sing that bilge was nothing short of exploitation, and Cedric and Charlie's dad should be ashamed of themselves.)

From Cedric's website:
"A guitarist by profession, he has been priviliged to work, tour and record with some of the world's leading performers including Roy Orbison, Kenny Rodgers, Don McClean, Chaka Kahn, and UK diva Ruby Turner to name but a few!

A well known session player Cedric worked on many major TV shows, including 'The Golden Shot' and BBC's 'Pebble Mill at one'.........As a composer he has scored music for clients worldwide, including ABC TV, BBCTV, ITV SPORT and advertising 'jingles' for British Gas, BT and Dupont in the USA."

Although Kenny Rodgers{sic}, Don McClean{sic} and Chaka Kahn{sic} all sound like tribute acts!

There you go. Am I the only one who thought that the song was OK? The rap was a bit of a mistake but Charlie's performance was great and I am sure he has a long career ahead of him. Cheeky Monkeys? Well who knows if they will become professional dancers.

No you're not. I think shots of the judges before he started singing looking all bemused and confused highlighted how they had made their decision before the guy even started singing.

They actually copied moves from George, Flava and Nemesis. Otherwise they would have been Cheeky Monkeys, just older.

That's how I saw it too Nat. His father and father's friend are probably kicking themselves right now and so they bloody should be.

I'm not sure. I think the song was good and they completely ignored his singing and focussed on the song, which wasn't really his fault but was written by a professional who has worked with a lot of notable performers.

The song was ok but there's always a danger in singing something original that no-one's heard of on shows like this. There's nothing for the audience to relate to. If he had sung something well known he might have made it. Although I think he didn't make it because they've got Andrew and tonight they'll have the other young girl. Three young singers might be a bit too much in the final.

Songwriter Cedric has already penned Charlie's Xmas single

They really messed up his chances, even if he didn't go through to the next round it's a low way to leave the show

Charlie was never going to get through, whatever the song.

They have already put one child singer, Andrew Johnston, through to the final. It is practically a certainty that the girl singer, Faryl somebody, will also get through. omebody has made the decision that three child singers in the final would be too unbalanced so poor old Charlie gets the short straw.

its irrelevant to compare those two because they were in different semi-finals!! Perhaps if they had been in the same semi-final we'd have seen a different result.

charlie green was disappointing last night and I think Strike will make for better entertainment in the final.

Every cute kid cannot go through!!

george sampson does bodypopping/dance etc.... reminded me a bit of Justin Timberlake.

Strike do martial arts and cheeky monkeys do gymnastics and dance...

Similar but not the same.

After hearing and checking the guys website and the christmas single they have set up, I can only assume Simon wants him to do more known swing songs while this other guy wants to write and make his music.

It's loads of adults out there wanting to have a piece of the action.
