I hope Jodie wins!!!!

This is in today's Mirror! I'd Do Anything's Jodie Prenger slammed as "too big" to play Nancy!

West End hopeful Jodie Prenger has been slammed for being "too big" to play Nancy in a new production of Oliver!

Andrew Lloyd Webber, who has been working with all three finalists on TV's I'd Do Anything, revealed producer Cameron Mackintosh was worried whether curvy Jodie could cope with the show's hectic schedule.

Lord Webber said: "Cameron thinks she is a bit too big and has more or less said so."But he disagreed, adding: "Jodie could be anybody's idea of Nancy - I can see it absolutely. She has got a lovely voice and a super personality. She has experience as well."

Jodie is the bookies' favourite against Jessie Buckley and Samantha Barks in the final on Saturday evening. And as the winner will be decided by public vote, Cameron Mackintosh will have no say on who will be his leading lady.

Lord Webber, who arranged a surprise masterclass for the girls with Liza Minnelli, went on: "Samantha's strength is that she has got a fabulous voice. "She has got all of the notes and, if she wins it, she will need to build the voice.

"Jessie has something extraordinary. "That girl can go a very long way indeed."

The final is on Saturday at 6pm with the results show at 8.45pm on BBC1.

Jodie is my nancy and has been from the start.

I think Sam is better suited to a pop career and Jessie - well, I know some people rate her but I haven't really understood her appeal. I like how she comes across in VT's but she's not nancy.

I wouldn't even have had her in the twelve, and I fear if she makes it to opening night (which I think is a big if) the critics will lay into her, but it looks like Jodie to win to me.

I notice the Facebook poll has been mentioned a few times and I had a look at it. It doesn't actually ask who people want to win, it is asking who will win and that is something different. If I voted in that poll I'd probably have voted for Jodie, but on DS I voted for Jessie. I hope it will be a bit closer than the DS poll though.

In my opinion Sam over achieved in getting to into the top five and would be a disaster on the stage at the moment. I can't see her being anything but third, so it looks like Jessie to be second to me.

Same here I liked Jodie even before she sang a note!

I think Jessie is far too emotional and gets upset at the slightest thing and probably couldn't stand the pace of so many nights! Sam is OK but not as good as Jodie!

I really like Jodie and have done throughout the whole competition

I don't think there has been one of her performances that I haven't liked, she has worked hard in all the missions and she has a bubbly, strong, warm personality that would engage with audiences. For me, Jodie is the most consistent and perfect woman for the role.

I hope Jodie proves her critics wrong and does win tomorrow, out of the other two it really wouldn't bother me who comes 2nd.

Bookies still showing a win for Jodie.
Jessie may be closing in though.
Sam a couple of lengths behind.

So a win for Jodie by a head.

well all I can say is I really hope Jodie wins it!

But she has had some tough hits!! I think its really shocking that she has been slated in the papers AGAIN!!!

why cant it just be who it will be...

All 3 of the girls could be nancy and all 3 of the deserve to be in the final...

I will be happy for any of them to win GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE GIRLS

(but heres hoping that jodie can have the fairytale ending)

When will they bloody learn? Pushing the young 'gorgeous' one isn't always the answer. Look at Lewis, no one wants to go and see him as Joseph, yet Andrew thought the ladies would be falling at his feet. The panel's beloved Sam found herself bottom of the public vote last week. The public seem to want Jodie as their Nancy, regardless of what weight she is. Cameron will just have to get over it.

I really, truly hope Jodie does win but think it's fair to say that 'we' Jodie supporters cannot be 100% sure that she has got it in the bag so we need to make sure we vote like mad etc to make sure she does win! I know she has bucketloads of support and is so popular so hopefully we can make all her dreams come true by making sure she gets the result that she totally deserves.

For me I'd like the results to be -
JODIE
Jessie
Sam

Here's to a fantastic show tomorrow night with the right result - JODIE = NANCY!!!!!!!

I agree - Lewis was pretty - but for me personally, and every other theatre goer i know, we want to see talent in the cast not prettiness! ALW should know better now - sam being pretty simply isn't enough as she cannot act and her vocal is weak.

It's lovely for Lewis that some people think he's gorgeous.

I just couldn't see it myself!

Good thing it takes all sorts...

Lewis was seen as a young David Beckham but his voice was very weak......and the range was terrible........seemed a nice guy tho.........thought he was ALW favourite at first coz he could do not wrong.......then the panel started to pick him apart...he was always in tears.......like Jessie story....all over again
