That's an absolutely pathetic and unpleasant series of comments! Trolling like that is totally against forum rules - it's not on to make childish digs at other posters who happen not to agree with you.
I had quoted your longer post in order to address what you were saying, but why should anyone spend time taking you seriously when you're posting nasty responses?

Doesn't seem to be on the ball? He won the round which also had the highest vote of the series. I mean it's fair enough that you don't like him, but you can't possibly have not noticed that a load of people do - obviously Simon isn't on his own.
Charlie on the other hand was out of tune and very stretched and shaky at points. He's a cute kid who's only an ok singer.
As for 'fake humility' I think it only reflects badly upon your self to make such unfounded statements about people when you don't know them. Who are you to say he's fake? That's not very nice.

If you don't see the subtleties there, then you're not going to see variety (granted, it's a lot bloody harder to look when the camera work is TERRIBLE) - in the same way, someone might look at a quickstep and just think it's a load of bobbing about and running across the floor, whereas, of course, this is not the case.
The act was intricately choreographed and there was a lot of very different stuff in there - but again, bloody camera work will not have helped that in the least. I think there could have been better work in the shower bit.
Only a couple of bits were actually slightly out of time (although I'm not entirely sure the particular moves were meant to follow the music at that point), but it was a problem that on a medium range camera shot and at the end of a routine, he's doing much simpler movement before the finish - it wasn't out of place, but could be taken as that quite easily, so maybe it should have been a lot less subtle.

Nooooooooooo

Have people who say this
watched the advert? I mean the idea that it's 'replicated' is either a complete bastardisation of the word replicated or just a really bizarre comparison. George's dancing was much, MUCH faster, and in a different and far more advanced style. Even to people who haven't seen this style of dance before, I can't imagine how they can think that such a very simple style as seen on the advert can be confused with the complicated close work that George was doing.

“Oh yes, and then there's the 'Billy Elliot' sob story. 'I'm from a tough background,...but I just want to dance'.”
That seems a rather unfair objection - surely no one can be claiming to think this is new or that it's the contestant's idea?
Quote:
“Then,...there's the acting after his performance. The disingenuous fake shock at his own performance as though he's shocked at himself for performing a miracle or something.
He certainly knows how to play a crowd. The way he was behaving as he was drying himself with a towel looked like pure theatre.”
This is the problem with the criticism - it's not objective criticism, it's all too personal. I mean that's a massive amount of supposition that you have absolutely zero basis to claim, which makes it rather insidious really. I mean you're pretty much making up stuff about him when you have no rational claim to do so.
People can well attack on the style or whether they liked it or not, and all I can do is disagree and think it's a conflict of taste ... but these personal attacks on a contestant they know nothing about are really, really poor. :/
