Latest Odds ( best prices for each )

Jodie 11/8
Jessie 7/4
Samantha 3/1

Those odds suggest it is far closer than many in this forum seem to think. If Jodie really is now a " shoe-in " for the role the bookmakers would not be that generous
From comments in this forum I would have expected her price to be more like 2/5.. or even 1/3.

Apparently facebook is putting Jessie ahead of Jodie by about 6% with Sam trailing well behind.

Hmm, interesting!

I personally think Jodie is a cert to win,so may have a nibble at that 11/8.

She is not my favourite mind you.

Thanks...but on the other hand, if this forum is typical of the GBP at large we could all make a killing and put our money on Jodie.

Not me though..forget the money, I'm going for Jessie.

Jessie is doing better on Facebook vs here as I believe the demographic on FB is younger and the younger people are the more they'll be drawn to Sam and Jessie.

Of course, the show is a much more mixed dempgraphic and Jodie is not "old" to most viewers...

Thank you.

I've long had a hunch that DS is not representative of population as a whole, and that the views on the board are wildly skewed by a particularly vocal minority that supports Jodie.

Mind you, FB wouldn't entirely be representative of GBP either, or even IDA voting.

I feel a new thread coming on.

It would be very interesting to see that actual votes, which the BBC keep a very closely gaurded secret.

definitely, would you think the rumour that an insider revealed jodie was way ahead in the voting was made up, as i heard that no one is even allowed to compare the results

if they had it right thats about 55-45 between the top 2 and allowing for Sam there too suggests it would be even closer. A 7-10% gap would be overturnable on he night - if someone wanted to and the song choices allowed it.

Oh yes.

The only things these odds tell me is that it is all to play for.

Jodie has her nose in front, and Sam is a bit behind, but not much.

I'm sure you're right that DS is not representative of the population as a whole, but however vocal Jodie supporters here may be, they cannot vote more than once on the DS poll, and that poll has Jodie an overwhelming favourite.

Of course, what none of this speculation tells us is just how fanatical the fans will be when hitting that redial button on their telephones.

It really is anybody's guess.

Agreed.

Although I've voted twice.

Very slight change..." best " prices for each..

Jodie 5/4 ( was 11/8 )
Jessie 7/4
Samantha 3/1

Obviously they have had a few more bets on Jodie and shortened her odds just slightly..not enough to make them feel particularly generous about the other two though.
I think ( as I said in another thread ) one of Jessie or Sam is almost certain to be eliminated first. The likelihood then is that voters of Jessie will turn to Sam..or vice-versa. Maybe that is why the bookies are being so cautious ?
