Has nobody ever noticed this?

Has nobody ever noticed that in both series so far, without fail, the last person to perform has always won the public vote? This isn't just on the vote for who gets eliminated though, this is also on the winners vote so i bet quite highly that the last person to perform on the last show of the series wins it.

Yes I noticed. It's been mentioned quite a few times on here already as well.

Yup several threads about it. Whether it's deliberate manipulation in order to keep the favourite fresh in the voters minds, or if it's to ensure people stay tuned waiting to see that night's favourite, or the majority of the voting public have extremely short memories so only remember the act they've just seen is a matter of opinion, but it's definitely not coincidence when it's happened for every single show.

Fixed?

Why does the favourite always perform last?

Every act performing last will get through to the final

Let's hope they realise this to save a not so good act until last. It would definitely prove this is what happens.

Honestly...would ITV do something that devious

Yes, it's deliberate. Save the best to last, keep people hanging on and then close on a high so as everyone comes back the next night. Similarly, open with lively performance.

What a surprise

It isnt fixed, they do it by purpose, to try and make you watch until the end

Yeah... every other show does exactly the same thing - save the best/favourite till last to keep viewers hooked.

But because this is a competition; it must be a fix.

But it could work against them - the show is so c -rap you give up watching before the end

Well, the other thing is how the shows are stacked. Why wasn't the keyboard player, the magicians, the dancing girls, all on the same show? Why wasn't the dog, the opera singers, Strike and the Michael Jackson dancer all on the same show. Who decides what acts are on these days?

yeah, i think it's to keep you watching till the end, and they put the person likely to get most votes at the end so as to maximise the no of calls made. what i do hate is the way it's so obvious - there's always a huge build up and emotional music - yuk. i hate that they think we're that stupid.

This was what I was wondering as well. Some of the semi-finalists have strong competition from others in the group, while with others, it was clearly obvious who was going through. Friday's performers are already at a disadvantage, as the judges clearly are reluctant to choose another singing act.
