LCD TV Screen cleaning
Having just recently bought an LCD TV I am interested to know what people recommend for cleaning the screen.
Does anyone have a product they have used successfully? If so, where is it available? What does it cost? Thanks in advance.

A microfibre cloth - 3 for a quid at Tesco. That should be all you need. Plastic screens will only get seriously dirty if you constantly use your fingers on it. They don't attract dust in the same way CRTs do, by static electricity but dust will stick to it.
If it is a little dirtier, try some plastic lens solutions from the opticians, or camera shop, slightly dampen a microfibre cloth. But be careful round the edges. You don't want to get it soaking wet. These solutions don't dry as well as alcohol and you don't want any liquids behind the front. Avoid pressing down too hard on the plastic coating on the screen, you might damage it. |
