Think Simon and co were so afraid she might not make, they put the dross against her. Imagine if they'd just swapped one act from each semi - say Tracy Lee Collins, Iona and Hoop La La - with Andrew, Harlequins and James Stone how much more balanced each semi would be.

I didn't think it was that good tonight. Last night's was heaps better I thought.

Lol, seriously, an average singer was put through as less of a threat, its so obvious. And Piers and simons overeaction to Jeremys mistakes rather than taking into account how difficult it was, out of order too.

Totally agree Fudd. Lineups have been strange although obviously planned. Im still annoyed about Flava on tuesday, they would have been through easy tonight behind Faryl

James stone was moved from tuesday to wednesday then tonight less than 24 hours notice. Who decides these groups?

The whole line up is fixed. Simon and probably the other judges too know exactly who's in the final and probably who's going to win.

Didn't really enjoy tonight, was a bit disappointed. No one really stood out - I was looking forward to Faryl at least, but found her massively underwhelming too.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

They actually under reacted to his mistakes. An average football freestyle routine that has no mistakes is considered alot better than a routine that has great tricks in but 1 or 2 mistakes. Jeremy made 4 mistakes

That's technique wise, entertainmant wise Jeremy was loads better than andrew

It was a lame programme last night (Thursday) and two very mundane singers through to the final. Let's hope tonight's show is better.

Very good post. I hadn't thought of it that way, but I think you are absolutely right. The hype about Faryl didn't match her uninspiring performance.

I was about to post a topic about this very thing. Every night this week I have watched as they have gone down the line-up prior to announcing the results and I have thought that at least 4 have deserved to have gone through. having watched semi final 4, only 2 deserved (in my mind) to go through to the final, and one of those didnt even get to the judges vote. I firmly believe that James Stone has a better voice than Andrew, but quelle surprise the public went for style over substance. I think Vizage had a better act than most but the singing let them down.
I cant knock Faryl. Shes got a good voice, and i think she will be a star if handled correctly. Let her mature, go and be normal for a few years before she enters the lunatic world of Showbiz. Will she win? I hope not purely for the reason that she doesnt need the eyes of the world on her at such a tender age.
Back on topic, I believe that every semi final should have 8 acts that you think have every chance of winning. Last night this was not the case. For shame
