Jon quoted in Private Eye
Polka Dot Demon
06-08-2003
Jon is quoted in the new issue of Private Eye in the 'colemanballs' bit.
He said something like:-

"Coming out of the Big Brother house is a once in a lifetime experience. I did it once on the way in and once on the way out".

I love the Irony that Private Eye readers (who I guess are not BB fans to a great extent) will assosiate the name 'Jon Tickle' with the kind of dullards they would expect to be BB contestants.

I'm a Private Eye reader and BB fan

IMO making it into Private Eye has to be the highlight of anyone's career

Cam gets a mention too in the hackwatch bit, not by name though, I assume they mean Cam:

"(who thought) that the favourite would be a virgin 32 year-old fish trader who spends his days reading the Bible"

No related but... Jon will be at the UK premiere of "American Wedding" -American Pie III- in London tonight (August 7th).

The likes of Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Eugene Levy and the Stifmiester himself, Seann William Scott, will be gracing Covent Garden's Odeon premiere.

Gotta say, I'm a Tickle fan, but can see that Private Eye are using this quote to be extremely disparaging towards him. He DOES contradict himself (how can it be 'once' in a lifetime if he then says he's done it twice!)?

Not the most intelligent thing Jon ever said, is it?

That's the whole point of Colemanballs. It's quotes from people in the media where where they make bloopers or unintentional double entendres

But did he say it as a deliberate witticism? In which case it was quite clever.

Is this a TickleBalls?
