I think ours has a lot going for
it we decide the evitctee and
the winner. The rule of not
discussing nominations
allows for more sophisticated gameplay
simply much better viewing.

Long live BBUK.

Nine weeks of total viewing boredom?

we decide the evitctee and the winner
You mean Endemol/C4 decide who we decide?

The rule of not discussing nominations allows for more sophisticated gameplay
They spent most of the nine weeks discussing nominations and there certainly wasn't much sophisticated gameplay going on.

simply much better viewing.
What BB4 were you watching?

BBUK R.I.P

SORRY but i think our bb is better then the usa one because all they talk about is the same thing each day ,who toget out of the house.
I have watch it for the first time this week and each day i have turned in, they are saying the same thing they said the day before
( how to get dana out, lets tell each other lies about want she has said or not said and lets slag her of one min and then try to have sex with her the next min. I just don't like way their bb plays the game.

If you consider cameron to
be a sham then that is fine
gameplay in itself and should
he of been lying for nine weeks I would
call it true sophisticaion to have fooled
so many people.

Yes Watching Steph talk about her dogs and Ray talk about how interesting they were was great!

BB4 to most of the public have been forgotten!

I never was able to view the BB UK show, but I did talk a lot about it to those who did. And I must say that everyone I spoke with in the UK bitched about how slow and boring it was.

Although our show definitely has a western world flare, I totally believe you'll enjoy the GAME...after all it is supposed to be a competition to whomever comes up with the best strategy...

In football, do the palyers play against the other team, or do they play against the crowd in the stands???? It's no a beauty pageant, where the contestants are judged by those not compeeting.....

Yours was a Beauty Pageant , Ours is a game.......and I hope you enjoy it!

Cheers!

I have to agree with Everything you have just said! Our BB was crap, it was soo Boring! I much prefer the US format of BB, it is simply a lot better to watch. I agree that BB is a Game, the US has it right on how it is formatted in that whoever has the best strategy will end up in the final!

I hope we in the UK get to watch BB5 USA next year and i Really hope the producers of BB UK take some tips from the US version and implement them into next years show!

I've been a BBUK addict since the start, and I really do mean addict. This year I switched off. I can't describe how disappointed I was about the choice of contestants and the apathy they inspired. Anyone slightly interesting was voted out leaving behind the blandest, most banal bunch of people its ever been my misfortune to observe.

BBUS has its faults and I don't feel I am getting to know any of the hamsters but I'm enjoying it. I actually like the gameplay, it is a shame that it is paramount above all else but I'd rather watch these guys scheme than any of our boring lot being 'nice' for weeks on end.

I would rather take up trainspotting than be afflicted by the dullness that was Steph. No idea who Ronnie was/is as every time Steph opened her mouth I fell asleep.....but I'm assuming it is her dog. And thankfully yes the show is over, although I believe we are still getting 'What they are doing now' updates on E4 (Hopefully slipping back into the obscurity they so richly deserve).

The British one was a million times better than this fake, musclebound american soap opera crap.

For all I moan about Jon, at least we had some characters that actually stirred some emotion.

BBUK4 was naff!!! The winners diaries makes for ZZZ viewing! Gos and Cam stroking vegtables in a supermarket??? HMM

Big Brother is meant to be a GAMESHOW, at least in BBUS they are allowed to treat it as such! I must admit I do like the public evictions, (or should I of said hangings?) I like to see the eviticee come out to the crowds.

I think it would be great if in BB5 in the uk, that the HMS are allowed to talk about nominations like they do in the US house, by doing so you get to see the REAL person! I can tell ya that if we had the same format, Cam the Sham would not of won BB this year, because he would of come across as he really is, he would of had to, for survival!

I am loving BBUS, I kinda feel its Channel4/E4's way of making it up to us after this years farce in the UK.

Yea exactly, it IS a gameshow and the housemates should treat it as one, not just a 64 day holiday where they sit out in the sun doing nothing!

BBUSA is fantastic viewing because the houseguests treat it as a game and form alliances and fight for survival in the house and to try and win the $500,000! In BB4UK they just sat there all the time doing nothing or sleeping. "Its 2:42pm, all the housemates are in bed"! Boring!!! We dont want to see people lying down sunbathing or sleeping, we need to see entertainment, a Real gameshow, and thats what the US version provides!

I definitely agree that i think showing BB4 USA is C4/E4's way of making it up to us. I just hope we get to see future BB USA's!

Accept no imatations. All E4 want to do is ride the BB USA wave.

Remember this when they dont take BB USA next year.

Right now i am thinking of not even bothering switch BB UK on next year at all.

This time last year I was still in mourning that BB had ended! call me sad! But I was.

But this year I did not even flinch when the "ghosting" of the voices happened whilst the lights turned out in the BB4 house.
I was just glad it was all over, because it meant that I did not have to watch "just in case" it got good!

It became apparent that BB knew it was a lost cause when they kept chucking extras in the BB house!

I wonder too about next year, I think I will give it a miss for a while and just see if I hear how good it is, then tune in! But knowing me, I will count down the days, but I hope if I do, I won't be left feeling so short-changed!

Here's something I posted back in May, before BB4 started. We were tossing around ideas for improving the format -:

What if

They allowed free discussion of nominations and nominations were given openly, not in secret

Strategy, tactics, alliances, diplomacy, bluffing, betrayals, bribery, cliques, secret messages etc...................wouldn't that be interesting

The only possible problem might be that they would talk of nothing else but nominations and we might get fed up with it

Well having watched some of US BB4 I say - Give It A Go - something drastic has to be done now. All out contestants are BB savvy, they know the score, it isn't a new thing any more. If nothing is done, next year's lot will just keep their heads down hoping to avoid nomination. It'll be even duller than this year and the year after that will be duller still.

Something has to be done - why not give this a try !!

You have hit the nail on the head. All our HMS are savvy, they have seen what gets them evicted and what does not.
It would be fantastic to see them have to form alliances for survial, we would get to see a totally diff side to them.

I think though that if Endomel do this, they should not tell them the format till they are in the house!!

Ok so we may get tired of watching them backstab, bitch and gossip for their own means, but that HAS to be better than watching them read, sleeeping, and making out that they are all instant best friends!
