I’d argue with at least two, possibly all three, of your examples. But that’s beside the point. A lot of religious LEADERS are highly intelligent and strong-minded. Jon was talking about the FOLLOWERS, who seem on occasion to have no mind at all. Did you see Cameron’s interview?

I disagree with Jon for the most part. Most people I know who take their faith seriously know their own minds and can explain their reasoning behind their thinking.

However when someone like Camerons says in interviews he doesn't know why he thinks certain things, he just does because it's in the Bible then Jon might have a point.

If you'd actually watched the show with your blinkers off Jon said, when they were told what the challenge was, that he was going to give totally right wing answers so they'd be able to guess correctly and WIN.

You can take nothing from the Old Testament literally Candice.Most theologians would argue that it was written as parables and metaphors to illustrate general religious maxims.We're not supposed to literally beleive that Adam and Eve were the first human beings on earth or that Noah's Ark was a literal occurence....it's meant to be symbolic.
