It says NOTHING about the God Bloke creating lots more people. (Unless you want to twist something til it fits) so therefore a lot of "Begatting" between mother and son must have taken place! But why take all the silly stories from the Bible as a meaning to your life? - Why not a good Stephen King novel !!! |

i dont agree with the way jon made his arguement but i agree whole heartedly! i have always found myself respectful of religions but i still cannot comprehend how someone can believe in a mysterious being that controls the world. i mean we are still teaching children that god lives in the clouds! without giving them a chance to find their own opinions first! the entire education system in this country is appaluing because they would rather segregate children by religion rather that ability.
trying to go back to the topic...jon's right

But I take it badly that YOU deem my postings on this subject as "derogatory remarks"
But, unlike you I haven't derided your atheism or shouted in CAPITALS about how pathetic your views are? So I haven't been derogatory......really KriZ, I think you ought to look up some definitions in the dictionary!Quote:
- that is only a problem as you can't defend or prove anything about this God bloke
Tut, tut. Semantics again. I dont need to. That's what faith is. You agree or disagree, your choice. No one is forcing their views on you or deriding yours- its a purely personal matter. Over and out, I'm off to watch Fame Academy

not some mumbojumbo! The reason that you don't deride my atheism is that you can't go against reality! - if you can form a argument against common sense and reality and facts, please feel free to do so! That's what I'm saying! If you can't prove your faith (bit silly if you just believe in anything blindly!) then by all means prove reality wrong! - If, in fact, you can't do either of these two things you have no point at all to comment about! |

I think some need to re-read the Bible and have a good laugh at the totally unconvincing pile of rubbish contained within!!! Gay sex is wrong, but Eve (The mother) having sex with her two children was ok ? Plus no meantion of the dinosaurs! - Big Clue there!!! and I believe the Virgin Mary was about 14 and her hubby was in his late 20's or more!!! All of this plus even more total towaddle versus Cold hard FACT! - Dinosaurs were FACT - nothing about the big God type bloke making those! - Stars do in fact go Bang and produce new planets FACT!!! So all in all, by Weak mined it doesn't mean unintelligent - it means that if you believe all that utter rubbish in the Bible, your mind can cope with the cold hard FACT that you are born, you may or may not produce babies, then YOU DIE! - FACT! So better than call anyone who believes in fairies at the bottom of the garden, weak minded, maybe self delusion and the inabillity to cope with reality, would be fair more suitable! |

They appear to me and only me after an extremely heavy night of drinking!!! They told me to go and tell everyone that the true meaning of life was to put cornflakes in one of your socks each morning!!! Now, they told me not to take the cornflakes in the sock thing literally and that I and only me could make up any intrepretation that I wanted as long as I made stacks of MONEY out of it !!! If you would like to be a part of this all new religion just send me £500 for the application form! - Free packet of cornflakes with every application!!! Join NOW - This religion is every bit as possible as all other religions - so therefore you must believe in it! (if not, why not?) the only thing that baffles me about religion is the idea of a soul! according to the bible there is no such thing! i mean during judgemeant day every single body will emerge and become live IF they havent sinned! (population 20)! and since souls pass between different bodies then the whole idea is disproved! how can every body emerge without a "soul" if there is one "soul" shared between say 500 bodies?

Strange if that ain't the case and that they have to hang around for this Judgement Day thingy !!! So! When is this Judgement day or is that yet another - errr umm err well ! We really don't have a clue again, but we will blindly believe it ! - Brother!

It clearly says that Cain left his parents (Adam and Eve) and met his wife. Since you chose to bring the bible into it by stating that it's alright for Eve to sleep with her son I ask you again to tell me where in the bible does it say that Eve slept with her son. |
