Faryl Smith Question
I don't know if this has been mentioned before but where is Faryl's mum? Did she leave when she was younger or did she die? I can't recall her ever being mentioned which is unusual as it's usually any excuse for a sob story with programmes like this (look at Andrew Johnston). I also thought tonight that if her mum was dead then the song tonight was dedicated to her but she just kept quiet about it?

I find it quite refreshing that Faryl's Mum has not been mentioned.
Andrew Johnston hasn't gone on and on about his being bullied at school, he mentioned it at the beginning and now it is the judges go on and on about it. The biggest sob story is yet to come on tonight's show. That Phillippino woman who wants to be famous to send money home to her daughters. She cried in the first audition about them and so did Amanda Holden. It was a real pass the bucket moment. |

Her kids should be here with her but then she wouldn't be able to work. My wife's Filipino. Lots, even couples, both want to work so have kids and just send them there for their families to look after. Ridiculous.

Her mother is a hairdresser.
There's a very good, factual article in the Telegraph Online, called "Britain's Got Talent: budding talent, treat with care" (I can't do links, so google Telegraph Faryl Smith.) |
