I know they do it for Eurovision - a friend of mine was on the panel for the UK about 4 years ago.

Yeah I'm thinking now how hard it has been that other girls were criticised because it was perceived that they didn't have the stamina for 8 shows a week and now it looks like the winner will only do half that many anyway. If I'd been eliminated and that had been said about me I'd be p!ssed off now.

they couldn't at the beginning. nobody would watch, (you know what i mean) it is more exciting to think they will have the whole show when they win!
