This boy has a very nice voice yet I genuinely feel that there are thousands of choir-boys across the country with equally good voices and plenty with a lot more charisma and personality.

I feel that his rather dour expression will cost him the competition.

And he clearly seems very uncomfortable on stage.

What do others think?

I think he's good - but no different to any other chorister anywhere decent... Even so, no other choristers are on it.

And the uncomfortableness is hardly his fault he's had idiots bullying him for being a choirboy. He clearly has no self confidence because of it.

I agree with you completely - he is incredibly sullen looking (might just be his nervousness) and, like you said, he never looks fully comfortable to me. He does seem very awkward, but his complete lack of personality compared to Faryl and George (the two closest to his age) is obvious. His voice is lovely, I just wish he had some charm about him.

Didn't his mother admit there was very little bullying? They had an interview with her after his initial audition where she said it had been edited like he came from a really bad area and was getting picked on, and she was worried about what the neighbours would think because their street wasn't that bad. It surprised me that they continued in that vein for his VT.

Then again; I said similar about Paul Potts charm wise and look what happened there

I think his performance tonight was far and away better than any others he's done - he seems to be transformed as a person too.
