All that 'its for my kids' is a load of twaddle IMO. If it was about needing more cash and providing a better life for your kids, you would get a second job (as I and countless others have done when the need arises) etc etc and still at least spend 5 mins with your kids and be in their lives.

This is about her OWN desires and wanting to be famous/successful. I just couldn't flit half way around the world leaving my daughter behind in the name of 'wanting a better life' for them. Its obvious (probably even to her) that shes never going to be a megastar so what is it for? She just wants to fullfill her own needs and I just can't abide that.

As for the song choice and the picture of her kids on the screen, well I thought I was going to vomit - and i'm the biggest softie going!

Completely agree with you. I have nice neighbors from the philipines they all work and work very hard and have their kids with them. they seem to do quite nicely. She should get a better job and see if she can bring them over.

Exactly - if its about money - you can get extra money without leaving your kids the other side of the world. It might not be loads but I would rather eat pasta for months than leave my daughter. I miss her when she goes to bed, let alone if I left I while I buggered off to 'sing' round the world!

As i've said before, this is not about money but fullfilling her own needs and wants (if money was that scarce, how did she afford the plane ticket in the first place?). Which is fine, not my business really, but don't shove how sad you are about your kids down our throats when you've mad that decision to be without them for months on end.

we all have to tighten out belts at some point, but i for one would NEVER leave my children. I'd work twenty jobs if i had to and abandon my drreams for the sake of my boys.

I agree. Noones saying she hasnt had it hard but leaving your children shocks me. I have a daughter and if I lost my job tomorrow I couldnt and wouldnt leave her to go and try work elsewhere.

She was totally shit. Her voice is nothing special and her sob story pisses me off. Why leave your kids there love if its so bad?

She has taken sob story to a whole new level! Putting a picture up of your kids in the final shows desperation and it's bloody cheesy. And plus her voice was ok but wasn't that fantastic.

I like her, She has a good voice she wasnt her best tonight..She's very emotional...I feel sorry for her, I despise sob storys but at the end of the day, its a tv programme there's got to some kind of story behind a contestant..I dont want to tell you my life story but my step-nan is a phillepeno lol okay that sounds ****ed up because she's only 30 odd but anyway she had a tough life in the phillepenes and had to leave her kids so I kind of understand what Madonna is going through...

Yes but theres a difference between having a tough life and leaving than publicly saying what an awful place it is....and then leaving your kids there to go off singing (if you can call it that!).

And my grandad has recently moved to the phillipines and he adores the country, has nothing but good things to say about the place.
