Sorry but apart from being fed up of being told who should win and who the show is set up for to win, am I the only one that could hardly hear any of their instruments due to the HEAVY backing track.

How could anyone say they were brilliant with such a loud backing track

I heard a little bit when two of the lovely ladies looked at each other next to each other and played but apart from that the music was all pre-recorded backing music.

I could hear them, but the backing track was doing waaaaay too much. I think they would have done better without a lot of it to be honest, I mean the start was the best bit.

I was going make a thread on this myself. I thought they were the best act of the night overall as I liked the song and them but I got question on a similar line to yours.

How can we tell how much of that musical arrangement was actually them playing and hence judge their talent as musicians? That overall arrangement was extremely well done but alot if was evidently part of a backing track. It is obvious with singers what is their contribution and what is not but there were times when I thought they were not actually playing with the smiles and rock like actions but on a second look they obviously were. For all I know, all the good musical parts of that could have been pre-recorded and those girls chosen because of their looks and I am really liking the person who choose the arrangement.

It's really frustrating not knowing how much of the sound was theirs as I was really looking forward to their performance.

I agree - I don't want to see them prancing around to a backing track, I want to hear them play. I haven't heard that yet.

I thought the judges would comment on the backing track. It was quite heavy compared to the drum beat they used in the audition.

Indeed, you could not tell what was them.

The judges, however, are completely sold on them. Especially Simon "Escala Album ££" Cowell.

And the last act of the night won again!

They were the best but why such ecstatic praise, because they could lose out to Faryl in the final ?

Where they actually playing? I couldn't work out how those electric violins could generate a loud enough sound? Where were the cables?

They should play the final with just their instruments, no backing track or it will just be a farce!

Maybe they recorded their own backing track, but that said it would still have been nice to hear with less backing track.

My laptop works without wires too - it must be some kind of magic.

I truly don't think they won because they were the LAST act, but because they were the BEST act; in fact I think they were the only ones on tonights semi with anything like real talent.

I liked Nemesis, but there needs to be more movement, not just standing on the spot making shapes. Glad they were through though. All the other acts were pretty awful.

I read somewhere that they were backing musicians for McFly on their tour in 2006. Can't remember where tho...

A class act but the standing ovation was a step too far.

Even though I was sitting down, I did provide a small standing ovation - I think the cushion was sufficient to hide it though.

I reckon they must have sounded totally different live in the studio. The sound in general wasn't fantastic on tonights show from a TV viewers point of view!
I thought Escala were fantastic though!
