Their backgrounds suggest they are all very good musicians (all trained at Conservatoires which are very difficult to get in to) but, I felt they had a massive backing track and would love to hear them unaccompanied.

I thought they sounded brilliant. It was a good performance, and I can't wait to see what they do for the final. They are very talented girls.

Where they actually playing? I couldn't work out how those electric violins could generate a loud enough sound? Where were the cables?
Works on the same principal as a radio mic. A lot of guitarists don't use leads now either. You most likely use the same technology yourself, cordless phone, mobile.

I'm not quite feeling the Escala love. They're good, but the whole 'up-tempo with bows' isn't exactly original, and I don't like the feeling that they'll be everywhere from Woolworths to This Morning as soon as the show's over, whether they win or not.

They should play the final with just their instruments, no backing track or it will just be a farce!
To be honest, it just reflects the fact that some of the artists seem to get more support for the producers in compiling their performance. This includes things such as the use of fireworks, backing tracks/dancers and the use of particular camera angles!

A class act but the standing ovation was a step too far.
yes i think the standing ovation was a bit much for the simple reason as others have said you could barely hear them over the backing track although i'm not saying it's fixed but-----last act winning again and some very clever choosing of which acts went in each semi final so the judges favourites didn't meet each other until the final

What makes me cross is the way the judges talk about this kind of act as original, enthusing, looking gobsmacked as if it has never happened before.

What about "Bella Rumore" in the USA

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...5-cf7041a07680

or "Maske" in Australia

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...e-bb48775266e0

It is not even original to the UK, "Bond" have been around for years.

Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same thing myself when listening to them. If they were playing live though, then they were great. I really liked them, but then again, I also like Bond as well, although you never really hear of them now.

Well they cannot have played all the backing track can they it was an orchestra!

Also you all need to see where they came from, they were ASKED to audition people, not just entered, so the standing ovation was no surprise to me, they were chosen to WIN, whether they will or not remains to be seen, but I agree with the ££ signs.

I like then first time until I found out alot more about them, how much do those instuments cost, and how much does it cost to make the video on youtube! and it is not from BGT either. Add to that the name change, why, they have played all over the place under that name for over 2 years!

Sorry think it is rigged yet again, last on and last semi, I do think they are good, but I wanted to see someone who has no silver spoon in their mouth, an act like Nemisis for a start rehearsing in mirrors at the bus station!

The papers last weekend spilled the beans on these girls, maybe none of you read them.

And Amandas comments kind of sealed it for me, chosen for Royality! she said if these do not get the Royal Seal of Approval who will, sorry Amanda they have not WON yet my love, you would have thought they had by the judges comments though!

Pass the sick bucket please! and let the public decide a public whom I hope are well aware of the shinadigins going on this week, with name changes, videos removed from you tube, which were there as I add them to my variety site. A website there and then gone and changed, all a bit fishy to me!

But I will say I bear them no ill, and think they have talent, but just not who I want to win with a leg up into the show which others had to fight tooth and nail for.

Hallelujah, there is still some common sense on the forum tonight! (Was that a little catty?)

Were they playing? With the backing track it was difficult to actually make out how good they were.

I have to wonder whether it was the musical performance, or the rather attractive young ladies that won so many plaudits this evening?

Have to agree with the Green Goddess

They left me cold too. Gorgeous - yes. Talented? how could you tell when you could barely hear them fgs

The judges want them to win though i'm pretty certain. A non singing act wins a variety show - YAY - oh guess what Simon still gets to sell millions of albums

Saying that they need the public support for that to become a reality and tbh even going by the audience tonight they don't have it. When Piers said he thought they should win the final there was a deafening silence behind him. Amanda mentioned George and they cheered.

I'm rooting for George, Signature. Nemisis and Strike. I want this show to be about variety and a performance in front of royalty - NOT Simon Cowell and his album sales.

I hope you are right then as I thought the audience were quiet, maybe they can see the sham some of us can.

Also why did Craig only get 1.40 secs Escargot got 1.55 min, not very fair also did anyone else think the voting time was called way shorter than normal!!

I hope not for Ant and Decs sake as they can do without another voting issue, but they said just over 10 mins, no way was it that long, and seemed far shorter than other nights.

Sorry cynic in me says, they leave it go longer to get the result they want, but was it looking like it may go wrong tonight was the voting getting TOO close for Escargot to sail thru.

I want a variety act a preferably a young one which all the ones you mention basically are. I think we could see acts now with acts not as good, young George has not even been able to practice to music as it is not finished, can you believe that.. poor lad.

What a shame it comes down to class then, as some of these acts have not had the opportunities those girls have, in fact they are in a different league aren't they, they are professionals earning a very very good living already, while the likes of others are not, does not make them any less worthy of being on the show. In fact give me Nemisis anyday of the week, hard working honest kids, who have no fancy instruments that cost thousands of pounds, sorry I do not agree they should have been ASKED to take part in this show, why was that, was SC afraid he may get another middle aged mobile salesman!

If it is kept out the press tomorrow about escargots past experience work, who they have supported etc, what they earn already and it hits on Sunday some of the public who vote for them are gonna feel a bit duped.

They even have a professional website, and they had one last week, but hey ho they now have a newer fancier one.. wonder if it was opened knowing they would be the winners.

I never said I did not like them, I love violin music, but do not like being not told the truth, ie SC already knew them, and so did the producers they were asked to enter, and don't tell me they were not told they would get thru as I am sure they were.

Seen this all before with SC, and sorry it stinks!

Amen to that...

My God that girl needs a good seeing to, that plummy accent too...
I'm sorry, were they playing instruments, must have missed that bit
Even though I was sitting down, I did provide a small standing ovation - I think the cushion was sufficient to hide it though.

Strike are not my type honey! but they are fit, and if I were wanting them to win it would be for their performance which I think was great, but not great enough maybe.
