Or they listen with the TV muted and imagine what the voices sound like!

Jessie's voice is sublime!”

Hmm. Samantha has a great voice for pop - her belt is really something. She's let down by her lower register, which is quite an important factor for this particular role, but there's no doubting she has a great voice.

Jessie also has a great voice, one that's more relevant for this part too, but I don't really enjoy listening to it that much. There's... almost a harshness to it that's just not to my taste. But objectively speaking, I think she clearly can sing wonderfully.

I actually think all three remaining girls have great, and very different, voices.

Sorry Holly Oaks! (hides)
Yeah everyone is allowed their opinion. It's what has made this forum entertaining this series, never mind the fact it's been one hell of a contraversial one!

Hi, I am not a usual poster to DS forums, mainly just a reader but I had to tell you that I live on the wonderful Isle of Man. The mobile phone line that went down last week did lose a few votes for Sam including mine. . We have been advised by Manx telecom to use land lines wherever possible this week just in case of meltdown. Even the high up politicians on the island will be voting for Sam and there is a large advertising programme to remind everyone including the 12, 000 bikers that are here for the TT! All the pub's TVs will be tuned into IDO. Go get it Sam!

This has just proved my point that there are people out there who are not voting for the best Nancy and because of this Sam has an unfair advantage over the other two.

Well if Jessie wins it proves she is more popular with the UK public seeing as she can't even get any home votes!

I agree. Jodie is my favourite but I think Jessie should be extremely proud of herself if she wins because it proves that the public are voting for her purely on talent and not just because she comes from the same place as them.

You don't think that there are Irish people or people of Irish descent in the UK...?

Because DS is the whole UK, of course

Yeah but that's not quite the same as having an island with a population of 75,000 behind you. Plus everyone knows how much publicity Sam has been getting on the island.

Surely Jodie has an unfair advantage, she has the whole of England

Actually it's much better! In the 2001 census, there were more than half a million Irish people resident in the UK.

SmileyCharlie, can you find out on Monday what the voting percentages were tonight? It would be great to know.

You were given the voting percentages necessary for those figures to be correct and they just seem impossible. No offence, but to me it seemed you were either being a little disingenuous and trying to scare Jodie fans into voting dozens of times...or perhaps maths is just not your strong point ? ”

Maths is not my strong point. I failed GCSE Maths and had to re-take it at evening school. Anyway it wasn't meant to be accurate I was just trying to show a point.

Anyway the best news is that I was wrong. Or at least this week. I have spoken to my friend and she has said she will try and get the top three list for each week for me so that people can see the variance etc. The reason I know she wasn't lying to be is (a) she works at the BBC and (b) she doesn't watch the show so had no interest in who won.

Anyway to anyone who thinks I was misrepresenting the situation I apologise I only passed on what I was told and to all Jodie fans I am really pleased for her although I feel she has a very very hard job ahead of her with her relationship with CM and ALW and as for Jessie fans please please please pray that she doesn't go straight into a show and gets that year or so's training that will turn her into the most amazing West End Star playing parts like Fanny Brice. I just think if she goes on stage now she will not fulfill her potential. As for Sam wow what a voice but again she needs training and maturity. I hope she starts with a smaller part and grows with her talent. All three have big futures ahead of them which is the best news of all.

Well done all of them.

And again sorry for my poor maths.
