New to this forum so i'm not to sure if this is the right place etc but i have questions.

I've just brought a lecson 900 seems to be great so far but whats the multi regional code can i disable macrovision and is there any one who has had a software upgrade from lecson.

I also have a philips widescreen tv but unfortunately no stand for it does anyone know where i might get one from.

The sony htk debate i have the lecson and the philips pro- logic will the sony htk make it any better for the money or do i change my amp for a dts model and buy anextra set of speakers / sub.

one last thing i have the toy story box set and alas disc 3 doesn't work either in my lecson or the pc is it a faulty disc and should i take it back or is it just a software thing
Any help will be gratefully recieved
thanks in advance for helping the new guy.

Hi, I am not sure from your posting if you have a separate amp. If you just have a prologic tv with just front speakers the amp will make a big difference. Prologic tvs are good but no way as good as a separate amp, 5 speakers and sub woofer system, in my opinion. A cheap upgrade would be for you to purchase rear speakers which will make a big difference to you.

I have had a prologic system for many years before upgrading to the HTK 215 (dd 5.1 and dts) and the difference between prologic and dd 5.1 is outstanding (dts is even better). I wasn't sure that there would be a difference till I started asking forum members and I was assured there was a terrific difference.

At the moment you are not getting the full effects from your dvd player, yes you have a good picture but that is only half the story. The soundtrack of any film is vitally important and to get the true effects you need to hear it as it was designed to be in dolby digital 5.1.
