The camerawork is awful on Britains got Talent, you miss half the performace as they always show the audience and zoom out and they dont always show who buzzes/

I dont want to see the audience, I want to see the performers, its really been quite bad

It's not the camera crew's fault. It's the director who chooses which camera shot should be on the screen at what time and even the director is guided by what the producers want to portray and convey.

I was thinking this when I watch the dance acts

Id like to see the entire stage face on so I can see what they are doing! it's so annoying with all the twirling round the stage and going so far out you cant see anything, grr!

It's just as bad - if not worse - with Strictly as well.

Signature semi act..the camera was all over the place.. the shows editor needs to be held into account.

I thought I was the only one who had a massive problem with this!

I think its really bad with the dance acts. When a group like Nemesis are doing synchronised movements the camera will pan really quickly across the stage, or shoot it from an odd angle. I wish it would stay still, shoot from the front in a central position. Not try to be too jazzy.

With singers or musicians, you can hear them whatever the camera is doing and though the visual performance is a factor, it's the voice or instrumentation that is the main decider.

With dancers and other performers, you need to see the whole act to appreciate it.

Unfortunately, it's something else that can be used as an influencing tool. Kate and Gin, Nemesis, Strike, etc are about to perform a move that could have everyone at home wowed and increase the likelihood of the public reaching for their phones for them and ............... oh, dear ............. coincidentally, they cut away to the judges or the audience or Ant and Dec .................... and lo and behold, the move is not seen.
